Thin sauce but perfect for topping ice creams!
Strawberry sauce, low sugar - what could be better?My kids are obsessed with ice creams as we live by the seaside, and they are expensive here. So things perfect to create your own special core cream cones at home but without the added sugar.The only negative I found, which is why I knocked of a star, is that because of the lack of sugar, the sauce itself is quite thin and runny so we do make a bit of mess when used on top of the icecream - it runs straight down.My kids say it tastes delicious though so that makes me happy if they are happy.Would definitely buy again and try in other flavours.
Lovely Flavour
i use this sugar free flavoured syrup mixed in with quark and fresh strawberries to make a lovely low fat no sugar low calorie dessert . It has a lovely flavour and has a decent consistency not to runny . The bottle is large and as i dont need much to flavour it will last a long time , so is value for money in my opinion .

I bought this sugar free strawberry syrup to use in drinks and desserts as a low calorie alternative to regular syrups and sauce as it is way way lower so great for a diet.It comes in a 510 g squeeze bottle with a pour cap, designed for use in milkshakes, coffee, pancakes, and desserts.Quality wise is fine, its a good sugar free alternative.The syrup is nothing in texture to standard syrups, due to being sugar free it is very liquid and watery, which i guess makes sense considering.The taste is very artifical, no real strawberries in sight but I actually didnt mind thr flavour at all and infact found this far more palatable than the caramel one.It isnt as sweet as I thought it would be, a little one dimensional.If you dont mind artificial sweeteners and youre looking for somthing to sweeten up drinks or desserts without the calories this is a good call - the price is way too high though.

As we have a diabetic in the family we are investigating more options that don't include high amounts of sugar, and this item meets the need for low sugar content.This item I thought might be a good alternative to strawberry syrup that we tend to use on ice creams.The consistency of this syrup is much less viscous than standard sugar based syrups we have had, so perhaps a bit more watery. It didn't really seem to set in the cold either.Personally I quite liked the taste of the syrup, but I haven't had issues with things like strawberry gum sweets before. One person in the family didn't think it was as great as the normal sugary syrups, but they tend to find things like strawberry sweets taste synthetic as well.Everyone's tastes are different, and to be honest a little something that is a treat is better than nothing at all, so I think this will remain on our list of items to consider for deserts.When I review items I generally start the review without a rating in mind. As I write of my experience I will rate a good/above average item starting with 4 stars, as this gives it the opportunity to gain an extra star if it excels. If an item doesn't match it's advert, or is significantly different to how one would expect it to work it loses stars.

The smell is pleasant when you open it, with a light strawberry aroma that feels fresh and sweet.The flavour itself is quite mild. The syrup is on the watery side, so the strawberry taste stays subtle unless you add a generous amount. Once I increased the quantity to get a stronger sweetness, the flavour started leaning a bit artificial. It is not unpleasant, just not as naturally fruity as I hoped. The product quality is fine, but the balance between sweetness and flavour intensity did not fully land for me.Value for money is reasonable considering the bottle size and the sugar free formula, but because the flavour is light, you may go through it faster than expected. It works well for pancakes, yoghurt bowls and desserts where you want a gentle strawberry note, but in drinks it needs more to stand out.Overall, it is a well made syrup with a nice smell and a convenient bottle, but the flavour strength was too subtle for my preference and adding more pushed it into a more artificial taste.
A nice strawberry flavour
As we start heading towards warmer weather, I could not wait to get this strawberry sauce to try with my ice-cream. Seeing that this was low sugar means it worked very well with my low-sugar diet, so certainly met my dietary needs.Being wary that strawberry syrups, with or without sugar, are a bit hit and miss, I was very happy to find that this one is delicious, with a good viscosity to the sauce. This allows me to drizzle it over ice-cream without it just running away.Overall, as a sugar-free substitute, I am delighted with this and would recommend it.
