Great lighting, very effective!This a great lighting kit, very effective, and makes the set pop. It was reasonably easy to set up if you take your time. We've also used this store for the hocus pocus lighting kit which is also brilliant.

This was the most horrible, frustrating and awful part of the galaxy lego build. My 10 Yr old, completed the lego build galaxy herself - in 2 long days, loving every minute of it. The lights, which from the review and the seller inscription, we thought would be easy and really make the build extra special. After 2 WEEKS, we still do not have it working or functioning. The 'instructions' are a poorly made and a poorly demonstrated YouTube video, that has all the important steps covered by the person's hands - plus absolutely no proper shots of how each step is meant to look. We were also delayed, as we had to BUY a specialised battery for the set (with the kit being almost £90 and they didn't include the 1 battery required, I was disgusted!) Then when testing (which involved testing the lights with kit they also don't provide) we couldn't work out how the lights are charged, as the battery ended up being for the remote (which was absolutely stupid). The wires are all mainly black, which are clearly seen and ruins the colours of the galaxy. The way the wires are placed and how they are connected, is so needlessly complicated, that I'm constantly afraid that it will pull apart the frame of the galaxy. Small parts are stuck to the back, but not once does the instructional video show a completed full view of the back of the set. Wires are not clearly shown or divided, all being different lengths, so you only realise it is the wrong one at the end of the step - which has meant constantly going back and undoing steps. It's taken over 2 weeks so far and it is still not finished, as it hasn't made any sense. I am still waiting to see how they are meant to work, as they have no batteries or plugs. If it is meant to charge via the USB port, then displaying it on a wall will be impossible, as you would need to constantly take it off the wall to recharge it. The only reason we haven't completely given up yet - is because with the cost of the lights and batteries its now £100, plus a ridiculous amount of time already spent on this light set.If I could give it 0 stars or -5 stars I most definitely would. They are obviously not designed by anyone from lego or anyone who has a passion for lego. I wish the lego company themselves would do them, so we wouldn't have these substandard products.I highly recommend to save your time, money and hard work.DO NOT BUY!!

Seller was very responsive when I found there was a missing item in the pack (only reason for 4 stars) - replacement received really very quickly (thank you).There are loads of lights in this set, and I'm tempted to leave a few off initially. Placement of lighting is well thought through and gives a good effect. Cables can be hidden easily, and there isn't much shift in the Lego itself as a result.The USB connectors are a distinct advantage too. Overall, a comprehensive and good quality lighting kit - would definitely recommend.

Bought this kit for my husband for his birthday. Great addition to the Lego set. Really easy to add once Lego built, only a small deconstruction required. Parts quite small but tweezers supplied. Seems a little pricey.

The components are labelled clearly however, the instructions are online and the pictures not very clear. I can’t comment on how it looks finished as I am still waiting for the seller to get back to me regarding faulty prices which are rendering the lights unusable for now.

Very confused bought this a while ago but only just started to build this Lego set I did not know that it didn’t come with a USB power box I have bought two already and not one of them work I know it’s the power box because I pulled the USB apart and placed in to my USB port on my plug socket and the strip of lights came on I have just bought another two power boxes see if I get any luck this time around

My ten year old nephew has really had a terrible trouble trying to make the lighting kit work and has been wholly unsuccessful. We purchased it for his tenth birthday in June along with the dinosaur Lego T. rex Skull 76964. And now his older brother (aged 12) who was trying so very hard to help, seems to have accidentally pulled the wires out of a tiny plastic connector and thus it is broken. No spares were included in the packet so we could try and re-connect it and now the plastic connector has been lost.The instructions were not very good. For example, it is impossible to tell which way the plugs should be inserted into the socket and whether the battery pack needs to be plugged in if the power is already plugged in. The socket also seemed to be getting unreasonably warm.Before my elder nephew tried to help, I intervened and after a number of attempts of inserting the white plastic plugs into the sockets I successfully performed Test 1. Now not even the wire with the lights that is undamaged even works.This has caused such a lot of upset and disappointment for the birthday boy. There have been plenty of tears. And my elder nephew feels terrible he couldn’t make the lighting system work at all and obviously broke it in the attempt to make it work.I would like a refund and to give this feedback overall: the quality of the product is not good, spare parts should be included, and there should be clear labelling “not for kids” on the packaging if it’s so difficult to actually set up and should ONLY be attempted by an adult.

Das Design und die Idee hinter dem Set sind wirklich toll – es wertet das LEGO-Modell optisch definitiv auf. Leider ist das Ganze in der Praxis kaum nutzbar: Das Batteriefach lässt sich gar nicht im Modell anbringen.. Damit taugt das Set eigentlich nur als Deko. Für den hohen Preis einfach enttäuschend. Würde ich so nicht noch einmal kaufen.
