This is a review forSOLTESE Hair Straighteners and Curler 2 in 1 with Tourmaline Ceramic Coating, Floating Plates - Digital Temperature Display, 14 Settings (100°C-230°C) for All Hair TypesFirstly, I'm a bit of a novice at straightening hair, I used to do my own for a bit 20+ years ago but have been embracing the curls for a long time.I haven't used this on myself yet as I have an insane amount of really thick curly hair and I used to hate doing it but I've just straightened my youngest daughter's hair. She has long hair but with mixed texture and mixed curl pattern. Irish curls I've heard it called where it's wavy on top but coily at the edges and underneath.I brushed her hair while dry (something I NEVER do as it just makes it frizz) but needed to get any tangles out and didn't want to use the straighteners on wet hair.*Before photo has one strand already straightened with just one pass*I set the straighteners to 150°c and passed her hair through in sections. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easily it straightened her hair.The straighteners are nice to hold, I like the digital display and ability to change the temperature.They do get quite hot towards the end (but shouldn't be holding them there anyway) and the plastic is a bit...plasticky but for the price I would expect that. They work incredibly well though and are very easy to use so I'm not marking it down for that reason as they are great value for money.I would recommend

This straightener does a fairly good job at straightening curly hair. It glides smoothly through my hair without any snagging. I do think it’s better suited for thinner hair only because the plates are slightly thinner than what I’m used to, so it took a bit longer than normal to straighten all my thick hair. All in all, a decent and affordable hair straightener. Will be perfect as a spare or for travel!

For sub-£20.00, I wasn't expecting TOO much from these straighteners. However, out of the box, they look fab and heat up pretty quickly. A friend, who alternates between frizzy and straight, tried them while she was in the frizzy zone. She was very happy with the results and said they were comparable, but not quite up there, with her ridiculousy priced big name straighteners. No case but they are available, very low priced, on Bolo.A good recommendation from my, now in the straight zone, friend 😉👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

This hair straightener and curler works really well and heats up fast, just 20 seconds to reach the desired temperature. The floating plates glide smoothly without pulling or snagging my hair, and the ceramic coating helps reduce frizz for a nice, polished finish. I also like the digital display and the different temperature settings, which give good control for different hair types. The plates feel a bit small for very thick hair, so it takes a little longer to style. Also, the sides of the straightener get quite hot, so you need to be careful while using it. Overall, a reliable and versatile tool for home or travel use.

The media could not be loaded. The plates are very narrow and short, which makes straightening long hair a slow process. It took much longer than I’m used to with other straighteners.The design also makes it hard to handle. If I hold it near the buttons, I accidentally press them and change the temperature. If I hold it closer to the top, I risk burning my fingers or getting the skin of my palm pinched—not between the heated plates, but where the plates close near the ends of the device. That was quite uncomfortable.In the end, I did manage to straighten my hair, but it took too much effort and time, and the result wasn’t as smooth or satisfying compared to other straighteners I’ve used before.

A very attractive wand for hair straightening. It comes in a silver/hot pink colour. It feels quite robust but without being too heavy to use efficiently by yourself. It has ceramic plates and heat settings from 100 degrees centigrade to 230, so will work efficiently on most types of hair and an LED temperature read-out on the top of the wand. The ceramic plates prevent frizz and damage to the hair. I tried a sample straightening on my own thinner, short hair and found the mid range to be the most efficient. It has no sort of stand or mat for when it cools down, but it did cool very efficiently, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem for most people. It's a really nice product
