Ideal for small areas such as replacing a stretch of silicone that has gone mouldy behind a sink. I did about 2 metres (1 sink and 1 washbasin) and used most of the tube, so it's more expensive than the large cannisters of silicone but much easier to manoeuvre. You need a sharp Stanley knife to cut the nozzle as it's very thick plastic and not easy to cut. The nozzle is marked with 2 diagonal lines to indicate where to cut according to how thick a bead of silicone you want to squirt out. I used the line which gave a thicker bead and this matched the existing silicone thickness along the tiles The colour was great and matched the existing silicone and it stuck easily where I joined it up with existing silicone. I used masking tape to get a nice straight edge and a profile tool rather than my finger. Fingers are easier, but I've learnt that fingers make a concave indentation in the silicone which allows moisture to collect there and encourages mould. Hopefully getting a completely flat edge with the profile tool will allow any water to run off and I won't need to renew the silicone again!

Really handy silicone for touch up - like the small size so it’ll we don’t need separate dispenser and for storage. Colour is a good standard for small job - matches well to smoke grey BAL , an economical solution for small areas.

This is a small 50ml tube of silicone sealant that proves useful for those that only want to use a small amount but don't want to purchase a cartridge gun at additional cost. Its beneficial that it is a multi-surface compatible wood, plastic, glass, and metal. Critically, and as specified, it did prove fully waterproof. The finish was smooth.

The idea of putting silicone sealant into a squeeze tube is a relatively new concept that seems to be catching on, this is Soma Fix’s take on the same concept, and it suffers from the same issue as all the other brands doing the same thing.The issue is that it can be surprisingly difficult to squeeze the sealant out of the nozzle and as a result you’ll have to cut the nozzle far wider than you typically need. Which inevitably results in you using more silicone than necessary due to the wider opening and when you’ve got a small 50ml tube, pulling what feels like half the silicone off the wall with a caulking tool just feels wasteful and is messy.To be fair to Soma Fix, the silicone itself is a good quality sealant that has had no problems at all in the harshest of environments, which is around the base of a shower. It’s held up great after being applied about a month ago and while I had to use up the entire tube to go around two sides of the shower, it did do the job.This isn’t a revolutionary product by any stretch but if you’re specifically wanting to grab some quality silicone for situations where you don’t have a caulking gun handy, it does the job.It’s just horrible value for money at the end of the day, as you can easily grab a full 310ml tube of silicone from many brands for less than this. Doing some quick maths puts this at just under 14p per ml which is absurdly expensive. For reference against tube sealants, the well-regarded Unibond triple protect is just over 4p per ml, a mid-tier option from Evo-Stik is 2p per ml, and the budget brands like everbuild are 1p per ml. All of which are brands I've used with great success on a variety of jobs around the house.
