Could feasibly go up to a 12mm hook for a looser weave pattern.

With two new members of the family on the horizon and knowing she's into knitting and crocheting, grandma has been tasked with turning out some baby clothes. With 21 colours available (I chose ivory cream, as it's a neutral colour when you're yet to know the gender of the baby) it's a thick yarn because of the 20% wool, which I find it harder to knit with something 'chunkier', but that is outweighed by the nice texture.But remember, that wool element means that anything you make will have to be washed at a low temperature, or handwashed. One ball won't go very far - you might manage a hat from it - but as it's a decent price, there's no reason not to get yourself enough to knit a couple of cardigans, etc.

This is a beautiful colour, like a grey beige with lighter flecks running through it. It's also a really nice thickness, I hate thin, cheap looking yarn and this isn't either!It came in a plastic bag so it was kept clean in storage and arrived pristine as it should.It's a lovely yarn to work with, I am a beginner but so far it's proving really nice to use, it feels lovely and thick and the project so far looks good. I'll definitely be looking at their other colours! Very happy with it.

Gorgeous colour yarn and a lovely quality. The strand formation is brilliant and it knits well. Good amount on the ball. Good value for money as it’s very good quality at an affordable price.

This is a nice thick wool, which is good quality and can be used for knitting or crochet. The texture is good and handy there are many different colours available. Good value for money and recommended.

Well.. My dog detected this was 20% wool and ran off with this yarn ball right away. What i got left was a very tangled mess.. Everywhere.What i can say is that even when a mess, it winds up very well.. Learned that from personal experience.It's not the nicest feel on the fingers but it might soften up after a couple of washes. It doesn't retain a scent which can be unpleasant in some 20% wool yarns. Thankfully that scent is gone completely.It's a lovely speckled rose colour. The yarn itself is fairly thick. It also is a little hairy and i like that in yarns as the little fine hairs tend to wind themselves up around each other over time and make a project stronger as they want to knot and tie each other up. But it can make pulling back on projects a little troublesome. It can be done but just take it very slow and usually pulling at certain angles makes it easier.

This aran yarn exceeded my expectations.This wool is perfect for my granny square blanket, and the colour is spot on for the flower petal part of the design and it's undeniably soft. I used an 8mm crochet hook without any issues.The price is reasonable and I'm already eyeing other colours in the range.

Really pleased with the chunky grey wool I got. I use it to crochet amd this is a lovely soft texture and nice to worth with. I was pleased with the size of it and it comes in many colours. The price is good value and I shall undoubtedly be buying more.
