I watched a few videos on YouTube of other users comparing this to the ender 3 V2 and this in some users stated it did same or better quality. As it’s like a clone of the ender 3 v2 it s a amazing hobbyists printer perfect for new users to get into the huge 3D printing world. Amazing support easy build. Took me 20 mins to build. Then I had to fine tune the levelling of the bed. Then I plugged it in and began one of the test prints on the card. Omg it was amazing quality. I cannot fault this printer at all 10/10 for quality speed and ease of use. And the adhesion on stock glass bed is amazing if you take time to level the bed properly

The media could not be loaded. Apparently this printer is akin to a creality ender 3 but cheaper, for me it was a secondary purchase after getting my feet wet from a much cheaper mini 3d printer!First things first, this printer is not assembled, so check you have everything included before you start! Allow yourself some clear space and a couple of hours to build it. It was my first ever build and I managed it in 1hour and 50 minutes so I was quite pleased with myself! At 220 x 220 x 250 axis, I was able to build considerably larger than my initial mini and pen prints and this printer didn't disappoint. Ive used pla, pla silk and plu filaments and although I didn't get any problems with the pla and silk filaments, I did find that prolonged building with the elasticated filaments kept failing; despite me playing with temperature and speed settings. It was ok with smaller builds but it seemed to keep feeding too fast so I gave up. As I said, the other filaments, including the small amount of transparent filaments printed very well - I could keep on adding pictures but I'll save them for my other reviews lolA nice build, very sturdy, but I advise you change the clamps for the heated bed immediately - they are not very strong and on the slower prints, they end up pinging off leaving your bed floating and your print misaligned 😲 I bought some small spring clips and these worked fine.Bolo have comparitively priced this Voxelab Aquila printer and there are lots of forums and videos available online should you get stuck on anything.

    Amazingly A Good 3D Printer

An Awsome 3D Printer. (( Had 1st Purchase the Ender 3 Pro, after 2 Weeks of frustration with repeated failures i packed it up an Dropped off at the Post Office like a Toxic Relationship, Ba Ba Bye )) .Now back to the Voxelab , very Quiet, been using it now for 3 weeks and still printing A1 . The Glassbed is great , just use a microfiber cloth and Alcohol 70% to clean surface, and its ready for the next print , usually every 3rd print it may have to clean it.I am Using PLA only , bought 3 different PLA Brands just to check its over all performance and pass with flying colors, I also love the auto filament feed an the unload feed, which I always use.the only thing I had concern about this unit was the stepper motors were very hot, to the touch, you could not keep your finger on the Y motor for motor than 4 Seconds,I Contacted Volelab support thru email , and they send me a few photos of the motor drive board and the lowest Voltage I needed to adjust it to ,,lowered the stepper motor Bias Voltage, to 0.71volts on the Y and X motor drives and the Z and E to 0.81 volts , and now the steppers motor barely warm.Support was Great. The cooling fan is a bit noisy, but it can be upgraded, simple mod. But it is not an issue with me.Now I did installed the lower Bed springs to much more robust ones on Bolo, only have to adjust the leveling every few prints in .I Love the Display interface , better than the Marlin.Using Both Cura and Volelab Splicing software to adjust printing features. I Emplore anyone to spend the Extra time on YouTube to get as much info on how to use the both Software. Knowledge Half the Battle.Using Thinkiverse website for most of my prints and it is free .But Hands Down , This is the Best Printer for under $500If i was doing this more than just a Hobby, I d purchase 3 to 4 more .Just Buy it, if your looking for a over all Reliable 3D Printer that Compares to a few $500 to $1000 3D Printers out there on the Market.Word of advice, make sure the Z axis motor connector to the Z Rod is fully in not 1/4 way in , and the stepper motor mount is tight as there is only 2 screw that is holding it in place ,when assembling this together, there are mods to address this issue, you can print out the Bracket for this on Thinkiverse .Ordered a Filament sensor was only 15 on Bolo , I had one print that the filament ran out , had to restart over again. Which was my Fault .

    top printer.

My first 3d pritner and I love it!

    L.Z. · 22 April 2021

This is my first 3d printer and I love it. Out of the box with just a little tweaking it makes great prints.Set up isn't that bad, watch a lot of videos and you'll get it. Bed wobble is an issue that isn't well explained. If yours does, you can adjust the screws under the bed to make the bed tighter against the rails. Getting it usable isn't hard, getting it perfect may take more tweaking.Watch videos on bed leveling, it's important to understand it before you get going. Doing even basic bed leveling will get you a decent print. Make sure you spend the time to level and get it right or you will end up scarring your bed. That doesn't wreck the machine, it's just learning pains. Also, keep paper under your nozle when ever you move it for bed leveling, again, don't scar the bed. If you want to add an auto bed leveler, you can, and it's not that hard.Once you are printing and have a feel for it, you can work on the next steps. Go print some replacement parts for the filament feeder/retractor. They have the potential to break over time in other machines, so you might as well be prepared. Add some mods that make the machine work better for you. Print calibration objects and learn where you need to make changes to take this printer from entry level to pro level. The only print issue I've had is my z access doesn't print quite to scale, it's a little off. This isn't an issue for most prints, but I'm going to take some time to tune it. It might be a stepper calibration, it might be under extruded filament. I might just be using the wrong temp. Whatever it is, it's fixable with calibration. Cooling is always an issue on any 3d printer. A little more on the nozzle would help and I'll mod on an extra fan to address it. This is typical on an entry level printer, and it's one of the mods you'll do to go from entry to pro.Now that I've started with this machine, I'm going to build a bigger more advanced printer that uses a lot of this design. I can thank Voxelabs for inspiring me to do it! And I'll use this printer to make many of the parts for it.If you're looking to get started in 3d printing, this is a great and affordable choice.
