I was really impressed with this set of Litmus papers. It arrived in a decent plastic storage case with 3 small pipettes and a glass stirring rod protected with bubble wrap. Each of the 6 booklets of litmus papers is individually bagged in a sealable cellophane bag to keep the moisture from getting to them. Each booklet contains 80 strips.Instructions on how to use are plentiful, both in a leaflet form and on the back of each booklet. The inside leaf of each booklet has the pH colour chartI tried the strips with tap water, which gave the expected neutral ~pH7 and Cider Vinegar which gave the expected ~pH3.Pros 👍:✔️ Very well presented✔️ Great value set✔️ Good carry case✔️ Good accessories✔️ Good instructionCons👎:❌ NoneIn Summary, a great Litmus testing set at a great price.

I got these pH test strips for my children to use in their science experiments. You get so many in the pack meaning they can test a variety of liquids and gain a really good understanding of the pH scale. We found the higher end of the scale quite tricky to differentiate with them all being quite dark. They come as 6 different sets, all which are stored in a handy plastic box. Very straight forward to use and work well!

I used these to double check the accuracy of some Lay z Spa strips. They seem more like science lab based but are still easy enough to use if you read instructions. Plenty of tabs and handy storage pack. Accuracy seems quite consistent but can be hard to compare to the colours provided for pH. Decent value but I’m not sure I’d rely 100%.

Five stars for now as my other test strips confirmed litmus papers readings.My test environment:Tested both - tap and filtered water.Both readings showed the scale of pH 7 which is neutral water for acidity which is good.I then tested both with my other water tests - and it was confirmed.Meaning, these litmus papers gave correct readings in my opinion.Colour was basically the same as on printed scale sample.I decided to test tea, my saliva, catnip spray - top three no colour change - all yellow readings.Weren't satisfied with it - the same readings for three different sources?So I added one more strip and tested vinegar. Straight red.I can therefore say they are rather good tests strips.This is a big set with 480 strips packed into 6 booklets with 3 pipettes and a glass stirred.Easy to use and very functional as you can test whatever you want I guess.Great price for the set - £5.99

The colour chart that comes with these strips shows pH 13 and 14 as dark brown but brown is typically neutral and dark blue/purple being very strong alkaline pH colours. Your web page on Bolo for this product shows typical pH colours with dark blue and purple as the strongest alkaline colours. I presume the colours that come with the product are not reliable and it is the website colours that should be used????

Talking about pH with children is one thing, allowing them to test the pH of various liquids is another.I received a plastic box 8 x 16 x 1.8 cm containing 6 little books of pH test strips and each book has a colour chart for comparison of results also 3 small pipettes and a 14cm glass rod (for applying test solution to the test strips). Perfect for keeping all the pH strips together and dry.The instructions on how to use are clear and it is very simple. Tear off a strip, apply a drop of the solution you are testing and, within 15 seconds, compare the colour the strip turns to the provided colour chart.Talking about teeth and looking at why certain drinks are not good for teeth we tested milk, water, tea, lemonade, fruit juice and saliva and I got results I expected so I think the strips are accurate. The children each got to test everything several times - the tests are quick and easy enough for 7-8 year olds to do (with supervision).There are a lot of test strips so we can re-do this experiment and test all sorts of liquids (today's question: does tap water have the same pH as rain water? The children can work this out for themselves now) so these are great value for money for me.I love encouraging my children to learn at home and these strips are a good introduction to the pH scale and they are simple enough for children from 7 years old to use under supervision imo.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Inside the box are three squeezable plastic pipettes and a glass stirring rod.These are used both for safety and to avoid contamination, for the correct use of the strips.There are multiple reasons to use these test strips, being useful for knowledge and safety.It seems to value for money pack, all is well made of decent quality.Fully funcional items, easy to use , although for decent results its better to wait a bit more then 15s.
