Pretty good results with about 10g per 500g of bread flour. It is hard to judge whether this is any better or worse than my regular supermarket brands, as making bread is temperature sensitive, but the fact that it is hard to judge is a positive

This is nice yeast that arrived in a sturdy well sealed bag with good expiry date.Makes a tasty loaf with a good rise, I've used it for both white loaves and half and half. Can't say what it would be like for full wholemeal, or something like spelt as I don't eat those but can't see why it wouldn't give a good rise.I'm quite happy with the way my loaves turned out, and it's good value for the quality and the amount you get.

I always buy the sachets of fast acting yeast and I generally use it to make pizza dough, so I was more than happy to give this instant yeast a try.I have been using a supermarket branded instant yeast for years and will use one sachet per dough mix which tends to yield enough for two medium sized pizzas. The dough always rises and tastes fine, but on occasion it has had a slightly doughy consistency. I tried this at the weekend when making pizzas and worked out that a 7g sachet is equivalent to just under a coffee sized scoop of this instant yeast.The yeast came in a double layered resealable pouch, which felt strong and resealed perfectly fine. The yeast grains were as expected and were easy enough to measure when I checked my previous measurements.The pizzas that came out of the oven were probably the best dough I have made so far, thanks to this yeast.The dough had a slightly bread like consistency but still as soft as dough and the pizza crusts were lovely and crispy which I often fail to achieve, so I believe this yeast has significantly helped my dough.I kept the yeast in the resealable bag as it seems pretty secure and I hope that it stays fresh for a good while.It was listed as £4.75 which is more than I would generally spend on yeast but since the supermarkets seem to continually increase their current prices and I am already paying nearly £2.00 for a box of 8 sachets, I would say that this is actually value for money since I am certain that this pouch is going to last me so much longer and my dough is of a higher quality than it was previously. I would certainly order this yeast again.

It is a good fast acting yeast for the price. I usually buy sachets and these usually work out quite expensive as they tend to have lost their potency by the time I use them again, This is well sealed and I am hoping that this will help it last longer.

I've used this yeast on 2 separate occasions to bake 2 loaves of bread, both of different recipes. I bake a wholemeal loaf every week with a dried fast action yeast and always have nicely risen bread. On both occasions that I used this yeast I got a loaf that did not rise anywhere near as much, and was denser and heavier, despite all the other ingredients being identical to those that I usually use. There are no instructions on the packet the yeast comes in, but I used the same amount I would normally use, and was disappointed with the results.

This is 100g and is an expensive alternative to my normal yeast. I am not sure I like a sealable bag, I usually use a resealable tin. THis smells good and has a long shelf life but once open it will of course deteriorate. It created a good loaf of bread, maybe a bit doughy compared to my normal loaf. It's good to know you can buy yeast mail order in case of a shortage.
