My only concern is that while it’s wonderfully moisturizing, the effect doesn’t last as long as I’d like, so I find myself needing to reapply.

There is no perfume listed in the ingredient list, but there is no doubt that they have added fragrance to this product. I could not use it at all as I am allergic. If you are sensitive to fragrance to do purchase this item. I can't speak for how effective it is, as I was not able to try it at all, but it is of a thin and lotion type consistency, not at all like a cream or a balm.
