REALLY impressed with this Roomba robot!Initial setup is great, very simple to put together with nice, clear instructions on how to physically get everything in place. Then it's time to set up the app, use the QR code and connect the robot to Wifi. This is a simple process an the Roomba App is both easy to use and intuitive.Once App setup is complete, you send the bot to do a "discovery" of the house - this involves the robot cruising around the house like a 6 year old in charge of a bumper car. Banging into everything as it goes and slowly producing a map of your house. It'll even try to spot / differentiate different rooms and you can then confirm each room's name.After the mapping exercise, you can send the bot out to do a first clean and it'll go ahead and wander around happily hoovering away. Once finished, it automatically returns to the base unit where the stuff it's picked up is quickly sucked into the bin on the base unit, clearing the robot up! It's amazing, it really is!You can set zones where there is "high traffic" - so the robot will take more time cleaning this particular area (think by the front door for example). You can also set the robot to do multiple passes of the same zone when starting a clean so it'll spend more time hoovering than usual.You can set up schedules for a daily clean and can review the images the robot takes of objects that were in its way (we have many many images of the dog on ours!).Noise wise it isn't too noisy - I've got ours set to do a 10am clean every day and it works really well. It probably does about 80% of the job that we'd do by hand, which is enough to mean that we don't need to vacuum quite so often. Perfect for a busy house and I wholeheartedly recommend this!

Setup was straightforward. Out of the box, it only took a few minutes to attach the brushes, plug in the AutoEmpty Dock, and connect the robot to Wi-Fi via the Roomba Home app using the included QR code. The app is clear and easy to navigate, letting you start mapping straight away. The first mapping run took about an 5-10 minutes, with the LiDAR producing an accurate floor plan. I manually confirmed and named each room, and you can also set high-traffic zones for extra passes.Cleaning performance is excellent. The dual rubber brushes adjust well to different floor types, and the suction power (especially with Carpet Boost) is strong enough to pull up fine dust, pet hair, and debris. It also has anti-tangle technology, so it doesn’t get caught up in hair or cords easily. It does a good job spotting and avoiding everyday objects like shoes, cables, and pet toys. It can handle transitions between rooms and small obstacles (like door sills) without getting stuck.The dock is one of the best features. It holds quiet a lot, which keeps dust to a minimum and having to empty it a monthly rather then daily task. For someone with pets, this is a big time saver.On the integration side, it works well with Google Home for voice control, but there’s no native Home Assistant support at the moment.For everyday maintenance and keeping on top of pet hair, it’s a solid option. It’s not a full replacement for deep cleaning, but it significantly reduces the need to vacuum manually.

Very loud. Much louder than my eufy one. Don't think it picks up much more. The little spinner fell off on first go, but that might have been me not putting it on firmly enough. Don't know. Its app is helpful to do specific sections. Lights the way if it goes in to a dark room. Easy enough to set up although EVERYTHING needed to update on first use. So took a bit of time. Code is on the packaging for the app. Which I didn't fully twig. Assumed it would be in the manual. It wasn't. Nice that it empties itself. Annoying it empties in to a bag and not a pull out drawer. As means buying supplies for it. Pretty pricey.

We have an older robot vacuum cleaner of a different make which is coming to the end of its life. But it does mean that I can make some hopefully useful comparisons.The main way to get this iRobot started is via the purpose designed app. I found this needed time to set up effectively and understand the features. Even now, I'm not sure I've really appreciated what this app can enable. Apparently you can also link the iRobot to something like Alexa (which we have) but I've not got my head around it yet.The iRobot firstly maps your home space. Unfortunately, we have steps between nearly every room in our old house, which the robots cannot negotiate, even with the advanced moveability of this version. We therefore have to place the robot manually into each room we wish to have cleaned. If you only have a small level difference between room, this iRobot will cope OK as was the case in our hallway and cloakroom.This iRobot has a useful feature where it senses a drop hazard. With our previous model, we piled books on the top of the steps on our landing to help prevent a fall. It didn't always work! This iRobot knows about the hazard and turns away. Clever!However, perhaps due to the extra features and power of this iRobot, it is higher than our previous model. This can mean that it gets stuck under furniture sometimes. It tries to release itself but doesn't always manage and it needs human intervention!I have always found a robot cleaner quieter than a traditional plug in vac. However, this iRobot makes even less noise. Sometimes it shocks me when I find it moving about in a room.Since using robotic cleaners, we have been surprised by how much dust they pick up. This robot is equally as efficient, probably more so and better than most on the tiled hall floor. It amazingly also empties itself into a tank on the base station. We plan to remind ourselves to empty this larger tank, once a month. This way, it will never get overfull.
