Works Great - Very Quiet - Grinds don't stick to Container
I bought this to replace a Cuisinart burr grinder that we used for approx. 5 years. I researched tons of burr grinders in this price range, (up to $70), and aside from the generally good reviews, I liked that this one has a large bean hopper, the option to select the number of cups to grind, as opposed to just a run time, and that the grinds container is anti-static, (which was an issue with the Cuisinart). I have to say I am super pleased with this grinder. It is significantly quieter than the Cuisinart grinder, the grinds do not stick to the container and slide right out into the filter. Another difference between this grinder and my old one is that the grinding mechanism drops the grinds straight into the collector, where the Cuisinart had an angle between the grinder and where the grounds come out, making it clog more often. The only thing that is a bit less easy is replacing the ground hopper and top of the grinding mechanism. After receiving, I washed all the plastic parts before using, and it was a bit difficult to get the hopper attached properly, but I did figure it out, and to me it didn't detract from all the other great qualities. I haven't had it long enough to comment on its longevity, but I am not anticipating any issues there. I will also note that the instruction booklet said to email the Bolo order number to the company in order to register for the warranty. After I did so, the company replied saying they needed me to send them a screen shot showing the order, and the seller, because they couldn't access the info with just the order number. I found that a bit strange, so I'm hoping the warranty is legitimate if there are any issues with the grinder. Other than those 2 small issues, I would recommend this grinder and am very satisfied with it.

I am OBSESSED with this grinder! we had the Cuisinart burr grinder with hopper and used it daily for five years before it died. I’m so glad it did, because I didn’t know what I was missing! First of all, I ordered the new one the day we lost use of the old one and it was attempted delivered the next day?! we live in Alaska, so this is unheard of. there are two things about this grinder that make it way better than our last. the uniformity of the grind and the lack of mess. I didn’t realize the grind was as big of an issue as it was, I’m not out here throwing away money for tiny issues that aren’t really issues, you know? there are a lot of grinders to choose from and many brands I am not familiar with, but I read the part about it being static free and “clean” and that was enough for me to try it. and it is LEGIT so clean. literally no grounds stick to the sides of the container, I don’t have to tap it, they are all the same size, not some course and some extremely fine each time I run it. HOW does it work?! HOW is it so clean?! I just want to keep running it to see if it’s just as awesome as last time I ran it. like I said, obsessed. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Easy to change grind settings and no static
This is the 3rd burr grinder I’ve purchased in my search for a replacement coffee grinder. The other two I got I tested and reboxed up quickly after. They weren’t great for adjusting the grind and had a lot of static issues. Not this one. When I took it out of the box, it felt solid. I had concerns with the plastic grounds cup, since the others I’d tried like that had serious static issues. Not sure what they did, but it’s static free with no puff of coffee grounds everywhere when you pull the cup. I tap on the top twice with my hand to drop anything at the top before I remove the lid, and that’s all it takes. It only took a pot or two to dial in the correct grind fineness and it’s easy to use. The third time’s the charm and this one is staying.
Good grinder with a small footprint, but messy
I wanted to upgrade from my handheld blade grinder (which sadly went kaput) and wanted to try out a burr grinder. I chose this model as a) it wasn't a million dollars like some of the higher end ones and b) it had a smaller footprint so it wouldn't take up all of my counter space.Pros:- Does the job - grinds coffee!- Easy to use controls - simple, relatively straight forward, and easy to learn- Small footprint - as said, a big plus to not take up my entire counterCons:- Messy - whether it's coffee grounds that spills out after you remove the canister or extra coffee going flying as you pour the canister out, there is a constant mess on my counter from this grinder. Static is clearly an issue with my machine (can't vouch for the other reviewers who say otherwise). It's not a deal breaker but it is a pain- Loud - Hand grinder was clearly quieter than this - maybe unavoidable?Rating: 3.5 Stars (Rounded to 4 Because 3 felt too harsh)Recommendation: Buy if you want a cheaper, smaller burr grinder but be prepared for the mess
