These fence post support stakes are a solid repair solution, but it's crucial to know their limits. They work EXCELLENTLY in soil - the 88cm length provides deep, reliable stability that has straightened my leaning posts perfectly. The kit is complete and the steel feels heavy-duty. However, DO NOT attempt to use these if your post is set in a large concrete base. The offset design means the spike needs to be driven into pure earth close to the post; it cannot penetrate concrete and will not fit flush against a post surrounded by a wide concrete footing. For soil-based posts, this is a 5-star fix.

These fence post repair stakes are fantastic! My wooden fence was leaning badly after a storm, and these heavy-duty spikes provided instant support. The 88cm length offers great stability, and the included screws made installation straightforward. Much cheaper than replacing the whole fence.

Having a couple of fence posts that have come lose in the ground I requested these to see if they would strengthen up the posts.The stakes are heavy duty and made of steel, with a spike at one end and an offset fixing post at the top. The offset allows you to hammer in the spike into the ground, although this damages the coating, exposing bare metal.However, I found them hard to hammer into my ground so that they were vertical and not at an angle nor twisted. This meant they were not flush up against the post. Sufficiently enough though so that when screwed in with the supplied fixings they did pull in and the result seemed fairly secure so far. To be honest I was attempting to fix posts that were 2m above ground and in ground that was hard and rocky.Success is going to depend on how easy it is to push them into the ground and how bad the broken or displaced post is. On a small picket fence with soft ground they would be easy to use. If the posts have a concrete base you'd need to ensure that the concrete diameter was smaller than the offset in the stake otherwise you wont be able to push it into the ground and get the stake close to the post.In summary I think these are ok in some applications but not a universal cure all. I've been generous in my rating of 4 stars because they didn't work 100% in my ground and on my posts as they may in other places but they are well made and solid.Listed at the time of this review at £26.99 for two you'd need to assess your particular application to determine if this is a good price. Time will only tell if they've worked for me and specifically in windy situations.
