HyperX Nails It Again — The Perfect Wireless Gaming Headset
Wow — these HyperX Cloud III S Wireless headphones blew me away! I’ve gone through quite a few gaming headsets over the years, but this one honestly feels like the perfect mix of comfort, sound, and battery life.First off, they’re *super comfortable*. I’ve had a few long gaming sessions (5–6 hours straight) and completely forgot I was even wearing them. The ear cushions are soft and breathable, and the white design looks amazing in person — really clean and futuristic. The sound quality is incredible. The bass is rich without being overpowering, and you can clearly hear every footstep, reload, and ambient sound in games. The DTS:X spatial audio makes everything feel 3D — it’s like being inside the game world. Music also sounds great — surprisingly balanced for a gaming headset.Battery life is just ridiculous. I’ve been using them daily for about a week and still haven’t had to recharge. The wireless connection is flawless — no lag, no disconnects — and switching to Bluetooth on my phone for calls or videos is super smooth. The mic is clear and detachable (love that!), and my friends instantly noticed how crisp my voice sounded. Build quality feels solid but still lightweight, so it’s perfect for both gaming and casual use.If you’re looking for a headset that *actually delivers* on comfort, sound, and battery life, this is it. Worth every penny — I’d absolutely buy it again!
Great value for cost
Sound is clear, mic is great, did not come with a carry case, headphone is sturdy and durability is great, wireless and Bluetooth option so as long as you have either it’s compatible. Ear muffs are way more comfortable and fitting then the hyper 2’s which is a great bonus for me.
5 stars
Worth it. Comfortable. Great sound. Mic works great. Just a great product.
The best upgrade I've bought.
I have used the HyperX Cloud II for almost a decade and it has been an absolutely flawless headset the best wired headset I own, but it was time to upgrade I wanted a wireless headset and this was a no brainer my Cloud II still works perfectly albeit it's a bit tatty and worn on the earmuffs. I wanted the freedom of no wires the Cloud III S is the only replacement plus it was a little under the RRP during the Bolo offers. Without a doubt the best wireless headset I've owned highly recommended. Also I've had it a little over two weeks now and still says it's 100% battery after long nights of game sessions.
Great quality headset, just too bulky for me!
I bought this headset to use mainly at work but also for occasional gaming. I struggle with basic work headsets as they don’t have great noise cancellation, plus I liked the white and these looked more comfortable. The sound is really good and noise cancellation works well, although not as good as my AirPods. The mic is excellent quality. My only reason for returning is that they are too bulky for me to wear at work all day, plus people can hear music when I play it at medium volume which I do in between my calls while working. I would have kept them for about £50 but just can’t justify £120 for headset that isn’t perfect for me. If you don’t mind a bulky headset then I’d recommend.
Not Suitable For Music Production
I managed to get the headphones (HyperX Cloud 3 s) working on my PC by selecting it as a device under Windows settings, but there was no way to make it work with the audio software I use every day (iZotope RX Pro and Cubase 14). It has no ASIO driver and won't address any of the generic ones. With RX Pro, trying to select any ASIO driver for my other sound device (Behringer UMC) caused a crash, which happened as long as I had the HyperX Cloud headphone software (ngenuity) installed. Since uninstalling it RX Pro now works fine.If you want to change from speakers to these headphones you will have to get used to selecting the desired option in the Windows sound settings. It's not too hard to do, but it means you have to do it every time. The good news is that the sound quality is very pleasant, but in my testing I found there to be a distinct emphasis between 2-3kHz. Fiddling with the EQ settings in the ngenuity software didn't really help, as the only close options in the equalizer are at 2kHz and 4kHz. There was also a very clear null point at 3.9kHz.The bluetooth sound was very nice, much better than most cheaper bluetooth headphones I've tried, but the emphasis and null points were the same as through the wireless connection.
Happy owner
First ever gaming headset purchased and used, so cannot compare to others. The sound quality on these are great and add to the immersion of gaming. Battery life is phenomenal! Came out the box on 80% and they’re still sitting at 60% after 1 month of use (gaming 10ish hours a week and listening to music here & there). Good quality build and comfortable to wear for multiple hours. Instantly switch between console & phone at the flick of a button. As a casual gamer, I thoroughly recommend these!
Really great sound, very comfortable, easy to set up
I am so happy with this headset. My old Logitech headset died and I asked around my gaming circles and was told this was the best headset around for what I was looking for and ready to spend. I originally bought the wired version because I had been having some sound issues which I falsely attributed to wireless interferance. It turns out it was something else that ha been resolved. Being tethered on a wire after having wireless freedom was frustrating so I bought this wireless version as well and I am SO happy. The Hyper X Cloud III headsets are super comfortable, so much lighter and don't pinch my ears. The sound quality is excellent as well. I didn't realize how poor the sound I had before actually was until I switched. This wireless one connected in about 5 seconds with no fiddling required. I love the headset. I feels well made- solid metal bits and plastic that doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. The leather head band is very nicely padded. Overall just thrilled with my purchases and I absolutely recommend the headset to anyone looking for one.
