The first thing we have to say about this kit is that it is really, really messy to use. We’re okay with that. Our child was fine with that. But just to let you know glue will get everywhere!The kit is quite straight forward to use. You blow up a shaped balloon and cut the string then dip it in the glue mixture. Wrap it around and repeat. At first it doesn’t seem like it’s getting anywhere but it does.When you get the balloon covered, and not exactly in a way the experts probably do it, you let it dry overnight and in the morning get the balloon out. Despite it not looking the best with the balloon in the shape holds up really well and has its own unique charm. The lights work well and it’s something that we now have out on the shelf.For the cost we think it’s good as it gave a lot of messy fun making it and then you do get something unique and usable. We’re happy with it.

Looks really interesting, but I’m not able to comment beyond that, as it was gifted. It was quite a weighty & nice looking box though, much bigger than I was expecting.

This kit will fill a rainy afternoon very well especially one in the lead up to Christmas when the decorations made can be put to good use. The book contains six plastic balloons - two hearts, two stars and two moons. There are “straws” through which you can blow them up and ties to keep them secure once you have done so. There is also three different colours of yarn and two bottles of washable glue. Finally there are three little sets of battery led lights. The idea is that the yarn and the balloons are liberally daubed with glue and the yarn is wrapped round the balloons which act as moulds. When it dries, you pop the balloons which act and extract it leaving a cage of yarn into which you insert the lights. It’s a nice idea and I think they will look pretty but I have two reservations. Firstly I don’t really understand why you can make six “cages” but are given only three sets of lights with which to fill them. Secondly, this is a kit equally suitable for both boys and girls from about 7 to 12 or even older on a very rainy day. It is advertised like this and the manufacturers are correct so why oh why do the pictures on the box show only very small girls making their hearts? In fact small children will need help from adults. The picture will, however put off boys and older children. I was intending to give it to my 9 year old nephew who loves crafts but I know it will be rejected as “not for him”. It’s a real shame.

This set will not only provide hours off fun but also produce some stunning results , in the set you get several shaped balloons heart ball ect and lots off coloured string and glue ect and sets off battery powered led lightsThe idea is you use the glue supplied and wrap the string around the inflated balloons and allow it to set then once set you remove the balloon and your left with the shape which you can coat in glitter and fit the lights ,Then you can hang them above beds desks ect and they really do look like bought itemsvery high quality components and massive amounts off fun and a sense off achievment for the child and pride for the parent

item arrived in a tovely presentation in own caraboard dox with the image of the product on the tront and rew basic information on the back of the box very colourful and attractive for kids, great gift idea. Inside the box you'll find a nice selection of foil balloons in different shapes like crescent moon, star and heart the kit contains everything you need like glue, colourful string, fairy lights that needs battery (not included), gloves and manual for instructions. great activity for a calm and quiet afternoon on a rainy day. the final product looks nice and my daughter loved to create her own decorations and hang them in her room.

The media could not be loaded. This is a super messy but super fun craft kit that our daughters really enjoyed. You receive different coloured string, six foil balloons, three packs of multicoloured lights, gloves, straws and glue etc.Advance tip - tie a bow or something at the end of the chosen yarn, as our kids didn’t and it was ages before we could find the end to start wrapping, once it was all mixed up and covered in gloopy glue.And make sure you leave a big enough gap in the structure, to insert the battery pack for the lights (and so you can switch them on and off etc).Other than that, towels down, balloons up, have fun!The end lamps took about a day to fully dry out, and although there’s obviously glue residue once the balloon is deflated, that sort of adds to the homemade charm, and the lamps themselves look fab lit up!Four stars from us, as would have loved more fairy lights and preferably USB bottle-style, for easier and less weighty insertion.
