Very much an "flat pack" construction so it comes in a lot of clearly numbered pieces although the diagrams are not quite as clear as they could be. It took two of us around an hour to work out what went where and to fix it all together with the screws and bolts. Only one bolt played 'hard to get' and that was one of the ones connecting the sides together - it certainly connected but we couldn't tighten it up as much as we'd have liked to. This was mainly due to the bolt and screw both rotating together . As it is an 'A' frame it appears (when you start to put the bottom section together) that it's not going to be straight - just continue tightening the screws and you'll be surprised how it forms such a solid base!The wood that the stand is made from is pretty well smoothed and varnished (it doesn't have that new wood smell) although my wife found a splinter in construction. Once it was built it turned out to be a very firm and stable stand - no need to re-adjust the feet . All of the screws are sunken into the wood but don't have cap covers. The instructions say you can tell which is the inside by the indent on the attachment - this is a bit confusing as it actual means the indent rather than the sunken holes [the indents fit the rods and step on the inner surfaces]It's a particularly light unit and I could easily carry it around the house in one hand. As it is stable, as long as it's use is supervised, this should be a safe aid to help get little ones up to a kitchen surface to take part in cooking or food preparation. It is made so that the top section can be removed at a later date leaving a small stool or side table which should extend the life of the product. Currently it sits at the side of our dining table and is light enough to not be an issue there.Great safety step solution for around the home where the top section has three side rails plus a back bar (the child needs to be lifted into the top section at this point)

The step stool is relatively easy to assemble, I managed to complete the setup in just under an hour as I found some of the tightening hard going (I'm not the strongest person)COSYLAND has put a lot of thought into the design of this step stool. Added stability is a critical feature, and the anti-tip blocks at the base provide means our toddler can climb on and off without any wobbling, which is a fantastic. The surrounding side rails offer additional support, making it less likely for little ones to fall off. Non-slip pads enhance grip on various surfaces—whether on tile or hardwood floors—which means secure footing no matter where your child is standing.The stool can grow with your child. Rated to support up to 150 lbs, it can comfortably bear the weight of an adult, which adds to its longevity. This versatility means it can be used not only for toddlers but also for older children, making it a worthwhile investment.The step stool allows toddlers to engage in meaningful interactions. This participation not only builds their skills but also creates lasting memories. The stool feels strong and safe which is the most important thing for me. It has anti-tip blocks at the bottom so it stands steady even when my child moves around a lot on it. I do not need to worry about it tipping over.The size is perfect for my toddler. They can easily climb up by themselves and stand safely while watching me cook or washing their hands at the sink. It gives them confidence and makes them feel like part of what I am doing in the kitchen. The platform is wide enough for them to stand comfortably without feeling squeezed.The wood looks nice and is smooth with no sharp edges. The finish is clean and matches my kitchen. It was easy to put together. The instructions were clear and I finished the assembly in less than half an hour.Cleaning the stool is simple too. I just wipe it with a cloth when it gets messy after cooking. The stool is not too heavy so I can move it around the kitchen when needed but it is heavy enough to stay stable.

It's a shame as the item is nice
