4.0 out of 5 stars Good golf tees

What more could one ask for? These tees are durable, however not as durable as some bamboo tees, which whilst sustainable are from new growth.I have managed to play a whole rounds without breaking a single one, whilst using as my driving tee.Being brown, did however cause a few occasions of fun trying to find, as they did mingle in with the grass and soil.
5.0 out of 5 stars It really does smell of coffee!
I love coffee and i love golf. So i ordered some coffee golf tees. These tees definitely smell of coffee - i like to smell the coffee each time i use one of these tees. They are great as tees and live up to the quality of both wooden and plastic tees. However, they are quite expensive;* If eco-friendly impact is a factor for you, these tees are probably for you.**If cost and function are more for you, these tees probably wont be for you.Absolutely nothing wrong with them hence 5*. Great product and a cool product to keep in the golf bag.
3.0 out of 5 stars Fab idea, but too easy to break and too easy to lose.
I absolutely love the idea of these."Using old coffee grounds, biodegradable, smell of coffee, stronger than other eco tees".My experience sadly wasn't as the blurb would have you believe.I can't smell anything, but that wouldn't be an issue. What is an issue is I broke 8 of these on one round. And that was 10 tee shots. With bamboo tees the previous weekend I broke one.The other issue is the colour is perfectly matched to the thatch in grass or any drier grass patches. Even dropping one on the floor renders it hard to find. I don't mind breaking tees because I will use broken ones for par 3's except I didn't find a single one.And so, for ÂŁ9 for 30 tees, using these just too expensive. Lost tees cost me more than lost balls today.I still love the idea though.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality and Durable.
My golf-mad teenage grandson and I have been using bamboo or wooden tees for quite a while now, since they always seem to be more stable and solid than plastic ones as well as being more eco-friendly. Wooden or bamboo tees also seem to support the ball better, which probably improves confidence when teeing off. However, as an avid coffee fan, I was quite intrigued when I saw these Swiftee coffee tees advertised on the Bolo website, although I really couldnât imagine how it could ever be possible to recycle spent coffee grounds into a tee strong enough to be struck by a fast-moving driver head.In spite of these reservations, I decided to order some 70cm Swiftee tees, but I still expected them to disintegrate very easily in use. Yet when they were delivered, I was shocked to discover just how strong they were. They may not be quite as strong as bamboo or wooden tees but they are certainly on a par (if youâll please forgive the awful pun) with plastic tees which, surprisingly, seem to break more frequently than bamboo or wood.On the subject of plastic tees, the argument around bamboo/wood versus plastic will probably continue to rage for a long time but, at the very least, wooden/bamboo tees, and now these coffee tees too, are both sustainable and biodegradable so are in general much better for the environment. The Swiftee tees are advertised as being aromatic and the Bolo listing says that you can enjoy the âsubtle, natural aroma as you tee offâ. Regrettably, we didnât perceive any aroma at all when we used the tees with a driver so, in order to test this claim, we snapped a coffee tee in half to sniff it very closely but, even then, not a sngle person among us could detect a coffee aroma. However, this is a fairly minor point and I would still say that these tees are worth buying for their âgreenâ credentials alone. If you add the fact that they are surprisingly strong and hold the ball quite well, then overall they are quite a reasonable purchase.Currently, there is an Bolo discount voucher of ÂŁ2, which reduces the price to ÂŁ6.99 for 30 of the 70cm Swiftee tees......although, to be honest, and despite admiring the ethos behind them, I probably wonât buy more of these coffee tees, since I can buy 75 of my favourite striped bamboo tees (50 x 70cm plus 25 x 83cm) for a pound more. Again, however, itâs just down to personal choice; and there is absolutely nothing wrong with these coffee tees.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great, strong tees with added aroma!
Fab golf tees with the added bonus of a lovely coffee aroma as you open the bag! Solid and much stronger than wooden tees so I foresee these lasting ages. Good long tees too, so suitable for drives and shorter iron tee shots. Nothing not to like and in a distinctive brown/beige color that I really liked.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sustainable coffee scented tees
I'm always in need of more golf tees so I was glad to be able to try these! I really like the sustainable aspect in that they are made from recycled coffee grounds and they smell really nice, which is a funny thing to be saying about tees! I'm sure they are much more difficult to make, so I understand why these are priced slightly higher than normal tees, but I'm not sure they are special enough to justify the cost on a regular basis for me. I would only consider these when making a conscious choice in terms of sustainability.
5.0 out of 5 stars Coffee ground golf tees
Innovative and eco-friendly golf tees made from upcycled coffee grounds. The 70mm size is ideal for drivers, and theyâre surprisingly durable with a subtle coffee aroma. A great sustainable alternative to plastic or woodâboth functional and planet-friendly.
3.0 out of 5 stars Work perfectly, smell lovely but are expensive
Made from recycled coffee grounds, these tees smell lovely (if you like the smell of coffee). The moulding of the tees is of a good qulity and they work just as well as plastic tees. However they are very expensive for tees!Only 3 stars due to the high price.
