Well built (heavy). Very fast to heat up and I loved the cordless convenience. As with my Dyson hairdryer, these straighteners work well with very little damage to my hair. Expensive, but worth it!

HiI am a really unhappy Dyson customer.To cut a very drawn out story short I have an issue with a pair of Dyson Corrale straighteners I bought for my wife that went faulty 4 months out of your 2 year warranty.I contacted Dyson customer support who said they would repair item foc as a gesture of goodwill.Straighteners were returned and I then got an email saying they could not be repaired as a part was out of stock. The part it was determined being the lithium battery !Really !!!No idea given if or when the battery may be available.I would point out at this point the Dyson Corrales are a current model in Dyson range and available for sale on Dyson and many others websites.I was offered a 25% discount off a new pair of Dyson Corrales which would leave me paying a further £300 for a product I have found to be unreliable with no parts back up or for them to be returned still faulty. Who would be so stupid to accept this?In the interim I have bought my wife GHD’s but they aren’t cordless.I have been promised return calls to escalated concerns that have not materialised and the same unamed generic response email continually sent to me.I have found it impossible to speak to anyone beyond remotely based customer support colleagues some who’s Englsh I cannot understand, who are unable to make any positive decisions to resolve this matter or put me through to someone who could.I have sent numerous unanswered emails and made many phone calls to customer support to no avail they are absolutley useless !The resolution I would be happy with is my product repairing or replacing it’s really that simple.I am now trying to reach out to departments within Dyson where someone somewhere can assist me rather than a customer support colleague working with a rigid script from home who can offer me nothing more than sympathy and an apology.if no thing else they are polite.If my concern is not resolved I will use social media to the very best of my ability to express my totally negative Dyson customer experience to as large an audience as I possibly can, starting with the top ten uk review websites, press and my own social media accounts.My sheer frustration, disappointment and annoyance will be my major motivator in actioning this and seeing this through.I don’t expect you to respond to this but in the meantime I would warn any other potential buyer toNOT BUY DYSON CORRALE STRAIGHTENERS THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AND YOU WILL BE TOLD PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IF YOU NEED A REPAIR.BE WARNEDYOU WILL BE FOBBED OFFwhen you raise a concern.NOBODY AT DYSON CARES AT ALLand it’s infuriating.

Bought for my wife a couple of years ago (I didn’t buy from Bolo - maybe I should have), over 6 months the charge dropped and Dyson agreed to replace them, they did, next 6 months same thing happened, this time it took almost 6 months for a replacement, and same thing happened loss of charge this time Dyson said I was outside the warranty period (based on the date of the original purchase), and I could either get a 10% discount on another one or send in for repair for a new battery that would cost £175. For the short period of time they worked they were good. Dyson need to be careful having bought many things from them previously this is the last time.
Great straightening/Curling
Love Dyson! Use to curl my hair and holds its curls. Only thing the battery life does drain fast. Easy to use.
Not as heavy as I expected
I splurged on this straightener since it was on sale for Prime Day. I couldn't decided between it and the AirStraight, which was also the same price. I opted for this one due to the cordless option and the fact that I have the Dyson SuperSonic hair dryer. The reviews had me concerned for the weight of the straigtener and the battery life. Out of the box, I loved the wrap that it comes in. It will be very handy for travelling, as I can put the the straigtener into the wrap hot and throw it in my bag. The instructions were easy to follow. There is a sticker to show how to take it out of airplane mode (it is shipped in airplane mode), how to unfold the cradle, how to attach the charging cord to the cradle, and put the straightener in the cradle. Voila, straightener is charging. Pretty quickly, I was able to use the straightener. I have thick, wavy hair. I sectioned it into a couple of sections, powered the straightener to 410, and went to work. 7-8 minutes later my hair was soft and straight. I even used it to curl the ends. Full disclosure, I use pretty chunky sections. So I'm doing a fair amount of hair when I pull it through. I didn't have any tugging or yanking from the straightener when I pulled it through, which I get from my other straighteners. I also usually put my straighten at 430 when I use it. So being 20 degrees cooler, I was really happy with the results. When I travel, I'll still probably bring the cord, but not the cradle and just charge it every day. The charge is more than enough for me to do all my hair and I didn't notice a difference in the weight as compared to my previous straightener. Overall, really happy with my purchase!

very disappointed, i but this for my asia trip specially because you can use it without plugging it in.. but it sucks.. dyson did a terrible job with this one. it doesn’t heat up enough to straight your hair, it makes hair insanely frizzy, it tangles hair in the plates of the straightener..so be aware you’ll loose a lot of hair. and it dies so fast it’s worthless.i hate it this straightener, it needs to be redone correctly…
Worth the money
Best hair Straightener I've ever bought. It is expensive but worth every penny. I love that is cordless. I have thick curly hair and on high heat I can touch my hair immediately after running it through, couldn't do that with old straightener because it burn my fingers. It has significantly cut down the time it takes me to straighten my hair and my hair is way less frizzy when done.
Great product
Bought this as a gift for my wife. She loves it and it does a wonderful job. It allows her to be mobile in the house while straightening her hair. It’s also great for trips. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I feel like it should be better on battery life and the weight of it is heavier than normal, obviously it’s the battery. Other than that it’s an amazing product and I would recommend.
