Flavour not for me
Love these protein bars by trek, but not this flavour.
Tasty with health benefits!
These are a great addition to the Trek range. They taste good and have a nice texture as well as being low sugar high protein. I have swapped to these as a treat and am really impressed.
Delicious and not powdery
I recently switched my diet up to lose some weight, going for high protein. This has been working and when I saw these bars I hoped they'd be the ideal breakfast or snack.They didn't disappoint! They're incredibly tasty! Slightly chewy like a flapjack with adelicious biscoff layer on top. They're very filling and although there's some carbs in them, I didn't gel a huge blood sugar spike and crash.I really enjoyed them and think they're good value for money. Easy to grab for when you're on the go or in a rush. I will order again.
New recipes and replacements not up to standard
Ive been buying their protein bars for quite a while as they were tasty with decent ingredients. The recipe for this and others has changed and this is now chewy, slightly sticky with much less flavour. It doesn't taste much like anything especially Bischoff and is now just artificially sweet. Trek seem to have discontinued choc orange and millionaire shortbread which were also great. The new recipes and replacements are poor, the bars now taste cheap and sickly. No longer worthwhile.
Gooey and good!
These are great! They're a little higher in carbs than I'm used to, but I feel like this just contributes to a gentle energy boost. They really do taste like biscoff.They've got a layer of biscoff covered in caramel, and it feels like a generous amount of actual caramel, not like the token amount that some bars give you. I supppose this is why it's so high in carbs?Overall, these feel like an actual snack bar, not a regular protein bar. I love them.
Close to best before date, beware
Love the product but a best before date of just 6 weeks ahead isn’t acceptable. The box previous had a date in December and I’ve had that box since before November
Good value - and tasty too!
These were definitely a hot in my house! I thought these would be a very useful item to have as my breakfast on days when I was running a bit late but still needed to eat something. I opened the box and situated them near to my bean to cup coffee machine. The first morning went well and I was pleased with the taste of the bar as it’s not too sweet given the advertised Biscoff flavouring. On going to grab another the next morning, I noticed that 2 others had gone missing. On asking the family, it transpires that I wasn’t the only one who thought they were nice and so they lasted only 1/3 of the time I expected them to!Given the price of a lot of other protein bars on the market, I think that these represent good value when the weight per bar is taken into account. I certainly didn’t feel the need to have anything else in the morning after having one with my coffee, so perhaps the next box I buy will be stashed away somewhere safer.
Keep them well hidden or they will quickly vanish, before your very eyes.
These Biscoff high protein bars are ideal for giving a burst of energy when that mid-afternoon fatigue sets in around 3 o'clock.As a diabetic for the last 7 years, I'm not a really a regular chocolate bar eater, for obvious reasons. However, it is very important especially when out and about walking the dog or while driving, to have a sweet, fast acting snack readily available in the event of a hypo. I have found that these wonderful tasting, Biscoff and caramel flavoured lightly chocolate covered, Trek protein bars are perfect for that particular job, and I only therefor eat them for medicinal reasons, you understand. lolThe only trouble is, my wife, and two teenage kids really like them too, and they have started to quickly disappear from my secret hiding place at the very back of the bottom shelf of the fridge, where I've been hiding them until recently.It is looking like I'm going to have to find myself another hiding place, which is a pity, because they are lovely and chewy when they're cold.Very happy to recommend.
