5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly solid budget smartwatch

    D. · 20 June 2025

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I bought the IOWODO smartwatch mainly because I wanted something cheap enough that I would not panic if it got scuffed. First impressions were far better than expected. The stainless steel ring round the face looks smarter than anything else I have seen in this price range, and the 1.32-inch touchscreen wakes up the moment I tilt my wrist. In the box sat two straps, a silicone one for exercise and a canvas one for everyday wear, both a doddle to swap. The magnetic charger is small but feels sturdy, an encouraging start.Evening runs along the Clyde are my usual proving ground for gadgets. The watch kept up, counting steps, heart rate and the odd burst of speed when I spotted my bus leaving early. The screen stayed readable even with Glasgow drizzle turning every lamp post into a mirror.Battery life is the real surprise. It coasts past seven days, even with notifications pinging away. That means no frantic scramble for a socket after a night shift. The magnetic charger does need the watch lying absolutely flat though, a slight tilt and the connection drops, so I now leave it on a ceramic coaster to stop it sliding.Menus on the watch are clean enough for pre-coffee tapping. The InfoWear app sometimes forgets a notification and the sleep monitor thinks I am far more rested than I feel, a mild irritation. For what it costs the build is sound, essentials tick the box and the rough edges are easy to forgive. If you want a bargain watch that looks the part and nails the basics, this one is worth a go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceed my expectation

    D. · 18 June 2025

This is a high-quality smartwatch at a budget-friendly price. It features a stainless steel shell that gives it a premium feel, and the display looks sleek and tidy. The touch screen is highly responsive, making it easy to use. In addition to the silicone strap, it also comes with a spare canvas Velcro strap — a thoughtful bonus.Pairing the watch with my phone was straightforward. It effectively tracks key health metrics, including step count, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and sleep quality. The battery life is impressive, lasting several days on a single charge. A charging cable is included in the package.Overall, the performance of this budget smartwatch has exceeded my expectations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value, minor niggles

    T. · 20 June 2025

A sturdy bit of kit. The stainless steel bezel looks far pricier than the packaging hints at, and the ample 1.3-inch display stays readable even under the midday sun. Two 22 mm straps turn up in the box: a pliable silicone one for workouts, and a woven fabric number for when you fancy looking presentable. A magnetic USB lead brings the battery from flat to full in about an hour and a half.Step counts, heart-rate readings and sleep data tally closely with the figures in my phone’s health app, so at least the watch is keeping me honest. Menus glide by with barely a stutter, and there is a frankly daft selection of downloadable faces, ranging from minimalist monochrome to full-blown neon rave. With notifications left on I manage six or seven days between charges, meaning no frantic scrabble for a plug every night. It is not flawless. The InfoWear companion app feels as though it has not seen a redesign since 2015, the silicone strap gets sweaty on longer runs, and the magnetic charger can slip off if you nudge the watch on the bedside table. Those small quibbles aside, you are getting a bright screen, solid build quality and a heap of everyday functions for very sensible money.

5.0 out of 5 stars comfortable fit and better than expected battery

    G. · 14 June 2025

I got this mainly to track my steps and check messages without pulling out my phone all the time, and it’s done the job better than I expected. It synced with my phone easily, and the screen is clear even outside. The strap is soft and doesn’t rub, so I’ve had no problem wearing it all day. I’ve only charged it once since getting it, and it’s still going strong after a full week. Sleep and heart rate tracking are accurate enough for daily use, and I like how the menus are straightforward. For anyone after a smartwatch that’s easy to wear and actually useful without being too complicated, this is a great option.
