This book stand is described as being a stand/holder for cookbooks but it can be used for a lot more besides. Perfect for students holding up text books. It does feel a little cheap and light weight but can hold the weight of my iPad but as it doesn’t have any grip the iPad didn’t feel secure. I will be using for holding up crochet pattern books. Love how it packs up neatly so can be easily stored when not in use.

This book stand does the job. Is it made from plastic and to be honest it looks and feels cheap. However so far it has done the job without any issues.I do like that this can all be flat packed again as such for each storage.

Just okay, portable
I've had a plastic one similar to this before so I expected it to feel cheap, and it indeed felt cheap. It mostly does the job and it's portable, if it wasn't foldable I probably would've taken another star off at least. The holder part just wasn't great. Even with the ridge in the middle, it didn't fit the few cookbooks we tried. And the tabs on the bottom weren't able to hold the pages securely to the side, so it was readable but not as neat/flat as we hoped. The pages kept pushing the tabs back to the middle and we had to try a few times to get it to hold. Can't imagine flipping pages in the middle of cooking so hopefully your cookbook doesn't do that to you. I'd only use this for loose leaf like sheet music, or maybe a smaller tablet. Thinner music books would be fine as well if they can lie flat.

Ein einfaches, aber sehr nützliches Teil, das man schnell nicht mehr missen möchte.

Fragile et mal conçu
Quelle déception lorsque j'ai découvert ce petit support de livre si fragile ! Si la partie qui accueille le livre est correcte, le reste ne semble vraiment pas résistant. Je me suis risquée à mettre un livre de taille moyenne peu épais et si le support n'a pas basculé, c'est parce que j'ai pris le temps de le manipuler avec beaucoup de douceur. Mettre un livre de format A4 est exclu. Les charnières sont en plastique. Les clips pour retenir les pages n'ont aucune protection caoutchouteuse à leur bout qui éviterait d'abîmer les pages. De plus, ces bouts présentent des angles aigus qui risquent de laisser une marque d'appui sur le papier. À l'arrière, la butée nécessite d'appuyer très fermement pour coincer la partie grise lors du transport : je suis certaine que son minuscule embout se cassera à force des utilisations. Enfin, l'emplacement réservé au dos est trop étroit et donc, inutile. Mieux vaut faire l'acquisition d'un support en bois, plus esthétique et vraiment durable. Je retourne ce produit.

I've had a plastic one similar to this before so I expected it to feel cheap, and it indeed felt cheap. It mostly does the job and it's portable, if it wasn't foldable I probably would've taken another star off at least. The holder part just wasn't great.
