5.0 out of 5 stars Drone
Very good little drone , comes with a carry case for easy storage and for the price it’s definitely worth the money
4.0 out of 5 stars Good learner drone.
Ok for indoor fun, and non windy days. Good for learning and forgives the odd crash.
1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible drone
Doesn’t have the power to lift off the ground
3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for beginner's or kids.
As the title says this is fine for beginner's or kids looking to get in to the hobby. It has a good few features over bog standard kids drones and each battery can last upto 15 minutes which is not to bad. It's compact enough to fly indoors which I did with ease and while it's OK in very light wind id be very careful if flying outdoor as a strong gust would take it.I'd say it's more suited for beginner's or kids to fly indoors or at lower altitudes before then going on to a more expensive model.Priced currently at £39.99 id say it's about the right price range for this drone and would make a nice gift to get you into the hobby.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good priced drone
Great little drone,, flys really well..:)..
4.0 out of 5 stars Good gift for kids
It’s as shows, kids loved playing with it, it was easy to use simple controls.
5.0 out of 5 stars A great intro to drone flying - a good lttle thing for the price.
Watch out - I'm a first time drone flyer, so take from this what you will!I love this little thing - it may have given me the confidence and the enthusiasm to move on to a more substantial drone. I've always wanted to try a drone and take some aerial photos (experimented with an instamatic and a kite when I was very young!) but I had an irrational fear I'd spend a load of money and the drone would just fly off into the sun, never to be seen again. See later! This diminutive little thing works quite well, although I found it tricky at first. It has an auto take off function, auto landing function and a panic return to base function. See later! I soon got the hang of taking off and landing. Steering and operating the controls "in reverse" when the drone is flying toward me is still a little tricky but I'm getting used to it.Because the drone is so small and light it's easily knocked off course by a slight breeze - I recommend only flying on still days. Two drone batteries are supplied as is a cable. There's a dire warning in the instructions about using only the cable supplied, a low power charger and not leaving the charging batteries unattended. The drone really is tiny and light - about the size of a small apple plus its legs and wings. The camera, by its looks, promises a lot more than it provides - image quality is OK, but it's not adjustable in any way. (the ball design is synonymous with moveable, steerable cameras, but it's only for show.) There is a directly-down pointing camera - which has slightly worse image quality but I find much more useful.I suffered a vaguely serious issue when flying this drone for the first time. I was getting to grips with hovering (there is an interesting and useful trim control for adjusting drift when hovering), learning to fly and turn etc. The drone was about 20m from me and all was well. Suddenly, however, my long-standing fears turned to reality when the drone turned tail and shot off away from me, getting smaller and smaller in the sky. I activated the emergency "return to home" but nothing happened and the drone disappeared into a thicket of trees and bushes. The drone was completely unresponsive to my remote control, hit the trees and disappeared. I couldn't find it despite a couple of hours searching. I returned when it was dark in the hope of spotting its lights in a tree or underbrush. I eventually found it by logging into its wireless with my phone and homing in on it by watching the signal bars. I eventually got close enough to spot its green and blue lights. It was undamaged and worked properly when I tested it.I have no idea why this happened but there was another person with a more pro-looking drone nearby - I can only imagine his signal interfered with mine. I'm now fearful this will happen again and I won't be so lucky. I don't fly if I can see other flyers and I haven't suffered a similar incident again.Despite this one-off calamity, this is a great introduction and initiation into the hobby - great fun and a great first step to bigger things. Great value at £49 - you really can't go wrong. (Unless it flies off into the sun never to be seen again!)
4.0 out of 5 stars Small drone with camera & app for that. Might take a bit of practice to get full use out of it.
This small 4 propeller drone comes with its own storage bag and two batteries for the drone and a cable for charging. It also has a gamer style remote control which requires 3 of your own AAA batteries before you can use it. It also has a camera which you can use and access via an app.I have only had a chance to give it a cursory test flight as the weather has been a bit too wet and windy since purchase and as it is small and light I didn't want it to disappear in a high wind. I managed to sync the controller with the drone by following the instructions in the manual and I think I calibrated it, although it didn't take off the first time, but that may have been because I was in a field and the ground was not completely level the first time I tried. The instructions do say to do this on a level surface.Having found a more level spot and recalibrated it seemed to take off OK via the auto take off button and hovered about 1 metre in the air in front of me, which is good when you are starting out. I tried going up a bit and turning but it then proceeded to crash, but that could be down to me and not being used to it perhaps. Given it was still a bit windy I left it there. So overall I can confirm it works OK and has some useful features, although I haven't used the app or really tested its full potential. The instructions were reasonably clear, but I guess it will take more practice on a less windy day to really get the hang of it.
