This wheel was purchased as a birthday gift for our grandson and he apparently loves it.It came with plenty of clay for him to get creative (I'm still waiting for my vase) lol. He said its lots of fun and easy to play with. I have creative grandchildren and this has definitely sparked his creativity. Great value for a good gift and from what his mam has told me it's great quality too.

My daughter had a go with this over the weekend. Setting it up was quick, but be prepared for some mess – I'd recommend putting down plenty of newspaper first. The wheel spins at a decent speed for a toy, and she had a fantastic time just getting a feel for the wet clay. Her first few attempts were wobbly messes, which was all part of the fun and laughter. With a bit of help, she managed to create a small, recognisable pot. The air-dry clay is convenient, as there's no need for a kiln. It's a great hands-on, creative activity that lets kids experiment and not be afraid to get their hands dirty.

having a 5 1/2 year-old little boy, means that as a Dad I’m forever trying to keep him entertained… and ideally, away from a screen, and so I thought this would be the perfect thing for him and I to play with together, soooooo let’s review it..First and foremost, I have never ever attempted clay pottery before in my life! So I knew straight away this was going to be 1. Probably very messy, 2. A lot of fun and 3. Something which will leave it last for five minutes or five hours… and I’m pleased to say, it was the latter! Because this thing is awesome.I genuinely had so much fun using this, and so did my little boy too, he was so eager to get this up and running and get started, and when he finally got that clay onto the turntable and his little hands were moulding it, he was playing with this for about three hours, he absolutely adores this. I have so many different little things that he’s made out of clay currently drying in the kitchen ready to be painted, and I love that so much. I’m not even going to go into how easy this is to set up, how well-made it is, how much cool stuff you get with this (like paints, a clay wire cutter, glitter and heaps more), all I’m going to talk about is how much fun me and my little boy had playing with this - we had the best time, and that alone is a reason to get this.This is such an easy 10/10 for me, if you are thinking of buying this, please don’t hesitate, because this is honestly one of the best things I’ve ever got for me and my little boy to play with, we’ll be playing with this again tonight, and will be making more clay creations to paint, and at this rate the entire house will be filled with clay, and I’m more than okay with that…What a brilliant fantastic product this is! Definitely recommended, and so much fun to play with.

My kids had so much fun with this set. None of us are familiar with pottery making but we had lots of fun with this pottery wheel. Its spins well and the instructions were very straight forward. It has everything you need with plenty of clay. We made some fun little egg cups together.

As someone who dabbles in ceramics I was keen to have a play with this as well as to let my 12 year old nephew have a play too as we love crafting together and I’ve never done any clay with him before. I have used a professional potters wheel in the past but not for many years as I prefer slab building. This kids pottery wheel is reasonably well built considering it is a toy. It got a USB power cable so can be run from the mains with a suitable plug adapter or a powerbank. The controls are easy, there is a switch on the side to switch it on which is speed 1 and then push it further and you’re on speed 2. The speeds are fairly slow and therefore makes it easy to work with. There is also a foot pedal which when pressed stops the wheel and starts it again when released which helps the user feel they are in control of what they are doing. The torque of the wheel is ok, you do need to be working small and with pretty soft clay as pressure on the wheel slows it down and you can hear it struggling to move round. It’s a fun toy for creative play and a nice way to improve children’s coordination and fine motor skills but be prepared to have a lot of mess to clear up! The wheel comes with some accessories which are useful for manipulating the clay and for painting it when dry. The blocks of clay are terracotta air-dry clay and nice and soft so easy to work with. Overall its a nice toy and at a good price.

This pottery wheel is great fun. The kit comes with four slabs of clay, paints, glitter, paint brushes and clay tools. The pottery wheel is powered by a USB cable so no need to worry about batteries, it also has a foot pedal so it is easy for them to control the speed themselves. My niece had great fun trying to learn how to create a pot with the wheel, once she learned how to use the wheel and keep a good even speed, she was able to design a pot and even add some simple designs to it. The clay that it comes with is air dry which is great for the little ones to use so there was no worries about a kiln. I think this is a great set and it kept my niece entertained for ages, we had lots of laughter and fun.
