I have been on the look out for more brands to try that have zero calories and low/zero sugar.When I saw this brand and the ingredients, it appealed to me, so thought I would give them a go. The levels of Electrolytes and vitamins etc are higher than the brand I am currently taking. Packaging and quantity of tablets are similar to other brands. It comes with 2 tubes, 40 tablets in total. The price seems reasonable and comparible to similar brands.I dissolved mine in 1.2L of water. The tablet dissolved easily. However just like any Electrolyte tablet, you need to shake it before drinking as the contents tend to settle at the bottom and if you use a bottle with a straw touching the bottom, the taste is strong.With the added Taurine you can definitely taste it. To me, it almost tasted medicine like. Slight taste of lemon, but the Taurine is overpowering unfortunately.It is a pity really, if it hadn't of been for the flavour I definitely would have loved these. Unfortunately they aren't for me, but may be suitable for others if they don't mind the taste.

These tablets have a taste that I recognise, but can't quite put my finger on it. You can taste the blackcurrant which is followed by an almost powdery taste. I have just taken part in a cyclosportive in France and stayed hydrated in 31 degree heat over a 50 mile bike ride on two tablets. I didn't feel dehydrated at all and got round in a faster time than expected, so it looks like the energy side of it works as well.

The effervescent tablets I have used, have dissolved after a reasonable amount of time, when placed and left in water.I find the produced beverage to be drinkable, but the main flavour is lacking. It is not up there with the taste achieved by some other drinkable electrolytes products. I don't find it to be bad. It just seems the blackcurrant flavour is too weak, and the taste of the active ingredients come through.A convenient and useful product. It could really do with a revision to its flavour, to make it more enjoyable to consume.The lid of each tube has a perforated seal, and the branded box they arrive in comes shrink wrapped in plastic. Providing freshness and peace of mind.No adverse side effects have been experienced from taking this product.Printed on the side of the box and the two tubes containing the effervescent tablets, is a batch number, a manufacture date of 10/2024 and an expiry date of 09/2026. Ordered and received during June 2025.Priced at £9.95 (June 2025) works out at approximately 25p per serving. Which is reasonable.

They dissolve quickly. They do have a sodium taste to them as many electrolytes so however these are a bit stronger than others in terms of the salty flavour. I was only able to sip on it slowly throughout the day. I like all the added vitamins and the fact that there's no caffeine. These have been helping me stay hydrated throughout the hot weather this summer.

Got these for my son who uses electrolytes a lot with his fitness/training regime. There are two tubes of 20 tablets which dissolve in water- recommended 300ml per tablet. These are the blackcurrant ones. He is pleased with them and likes the taste. I pinched one off him, I liked the taste too, I found it sweet – not sure about the blackcurrant taste but it wasn’t horrible, if I let it rest on my tongue I get a sense of maybe a saltiness….but I drank 300ml and couldn’t say for certain – it sure isn’t overpowering. The smell reminded me of maybe a medicine or furniture polish – but again it’s not unpleasant just odd and you aren’t going to notice it in a bottle.I found it strangely moreish – but maybe that’s just weird me!But yes he is well pleased with the tablets.

I use similar tablets to these on a regular basis but I tend to use the two recognised brands most often associated with tubes of 20 effervescent tablets. The first difference with this brand was the smell when I opened the tube. It was an odd, slightly unpleasant smell. It certainly wasn’t sweet nor did it smell of lemon. Secondly, they take a little longer to dissolve than the branded product. It takes around four minutes for them to dissolve completely leaving a cloudy drink (see image).The biggest problem I have is the taste. The lemon flavour is very faint and is lost against the stronger taste of ‘dirty sea water’. The result is salty and odd, not a taste I enjoyed at all.I won’t be getting these again and the second tube will be mixed with some Vitamin C powder I have as that has a very strong lemon flavour attached to it.

These tablets are 25p a throw which is a much more sensible price than rehydration sachets I have seen recently with more complicated ingredients, which are more than £1 each.These contain vitamins and a variety of salts to help you rehydrate after sweaty activity and exercise, or during illness. The lemon taste is pleasantly bland – not too acidic. Not too fizzy.They contain more sodium than some other rehydration sachets – 450mg compared to 2.5 grams of sodium a day maximum recommended by the NHS. So about 20% of your daily intake.There is also taurine in a low dose – which assists rehydration.

Like a virgin Margarita. Well that's how I have to think of these things. Never a fan of the salty taste of these things. But much more tolerable in citrus flavour. Great value. Helped on recent holiday to keep me topped up.
