5.0 out of 5 stars Peace of mind
Saves asking Drsurgery to dip test, as I am able to understand result.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good product
These urine test strips test for a lot of issues. The instructions are clear on how to use them but for a layperson, I did not find them easy to determine results. This product is better suited to someone who knows what they are looking for. They arrive in a tub with 100 strips so very good value for money at £9.95 (at time of review).

Easy to use
5.0 out of 5 stars Multiple key tests, thorough instructions and results analysis
The test strips are in a sealed tube inside an outer box. They have an expiry date of Dec 2027, a 3 year shelf life from date of manufacture. The tube looks like a hot tub test strip tube with each of the 11 things being tested listed on the tube together with the ideal test colour and the full range of colours that could be returned as results. The whole instruction leaflet is written in English – 4 full pages of detailed instructions, no reading one step the skipping through the same info in multiple languages to get to the next step – 4 easy to read pages rather than ten times that amount of hard to dissect info. The instructions are very thorough, including directions to collect, test and read the specimen results plus for each of the 11 tests details about what is being tested, how each test works, what the results should be, and things that could affect the test result,Once dipped you must read the strip within 30-60s, the colours change the longer the strip is wet.At 12cm the test strips are much longer and test much more than I expected. When collecting the specimen I would advise to collect a full a plastic disposable cup to aid quickly wetting the full 8cm length of the strip that has test patches on in one dip ready to start the clock. My results were all coloured as ideal except for “specific gravity”. Having no clue what this is I carried out some research to find this is a measure of concentration of dissolved substances, effectively an assessment of how well the kidneys are concentrating urine.Further research found although my result was not the ideal colour per the tub but it is still perfectly normal, indeed even the very highest measure shown on the tub is still considered normal. This is a quick way to get an instant overview of general health eg. it tests for blood, protein and glucose in urine and with 100 strips it will last a family a long time if used for periodic check-ups.
5.0 out of 5 stars Handy
These are very handy to have - only if you understand how to read them! The dipsticks (this is what I know them to be called) can help give an indication of many different things (such as glucose in the blood, protein, etc.)These are used in hospitals/by medical staff and so I’m pretty sure they will be quite accurate.I have not yet used them, but I like to have different supplies on hand in case it is necessary/so I can test myself quicker at home.I would recommend to those that know how to understand the reagent strips reading.

VivaTest 11-in-1 Urine Test Strips – Urine Dipstick Test Strips for Home Use – Rapid Results for UTI, Ketones, Glucose, Protein, pH & More – Accurate Urinalysis Sticks in Resealable Tub – 100 Strips £9.95Most times all things function well in the body but now and again either with abusing our bodies or infections things can be of concern. Also it is difficult to get a timely GP appointment. If anyone has urethral stricture disease (scar tissue in the pipework) and has to ensure the pipework continues to be wide enough b using a catheter in and out one a week, UTIs, or urinary tract infections occur now and again. Sometimes what seems to be an infection is simply where the catheter has irritated the urethral wall or bladder. The way to find out is via the dipstick test, and finding an elevation in the white blood cells (leukocytes) and perhaps the presence of blood in the urine. Other conditions can be detected with the tests strips. Very useful – so far stars and no less.
5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive - if more info than most will understand
VivaTest 11-in-1 Urine Test Strips - £9.95Wow.....11 tests on one strip, pretty comprehensive in terms of what you can easily test for in urine. They appear to be lab grade and when they mentioned an uncentrifuged (handy because i doubt most homes have one) Imy suspicions are confirmed. There's a leaflet in the box that i initially missed which does explain each test, what to look for and what is a reasonable result and how various parts of the test can interact with each other, along with details of the chemicals used and accuracy levels. For lab use and for someone with a medical background i would recomend these, for the average joe, maybe less so, unless you already know what you are looking for and can get your head arround the test interactions.Self diagnosis can be flawed!
