Surprising.I find cheap speakers come in two types. No bass, and all the distorted bass humanly possible.These mean towards the distorted base end.For general listening if you aren't an audiophile? They represent good value.The wood finish is decent enough. The speakers look pretty great actually.BT pairing is fine. Annoying Chinese pairing voice that shouts at you though. Can be paired via BT and usb even though it suggests it can't, it just won't play bit audio sources at once. So essentially you don't need to turn BT off ever.The bass and treble adjustment really don't make much difference. It's always too heavy on bass and just doesn't have umphh required - but it's fine for adjusting voices on video calls or watching YT.I paid sub £40. At that price I'm not going to complain at all. They aren't the best, but they're better than many at this price point and look genuinely good sat on a desk or shelf.If you want studio sound, don't bother. If you listen to heavy bass and really care, don't bother.But as gaming speakers or to blast the occasional bit of music I genuinely think these are really good value

Visually these speakers resemble a cut down version of the wood effect speakers I had with my first hi-fi; turn table and cassette, pre CDs! The attractive appearance actually makes the speakers acceptable in different listening locations.The speakers have a very solid feel. All the wired connections are tight and secure. The dial controls have a good feel.Setting up in both bluetooth and wired mode is quick and simple. The volume button is also the switch between the two modes. A recorded voice tells you which mode you are in.For the size and price, the sound quality is more than acceptable. There's no treble control but you can adjust both mid frequencies and bass. The higher frequencies are not excessively sharp and the bass has warmth. Maximum volume is relatively low. However even at higher volumes, there is no distortion.My only slight criticism is that the USB cable is type A to type C, with the type C connecting to the speaker. The type A limits connectivity to traditional desktops and older laptops/notebooks. A dual headed cable would be more comprehensive. Should this be an issue, you can always buy a C to C cable or an A to C adapter; neither are expensive.I hope you found this review useful.If you have a question, I always try to respond when Bolo forwards them to me.

Really impressed with the quality of these. They look great in the lounge and don't stick out like the typical designs you get with a more modern look. Sound is excellent and Bluetooth works seamlessly. No issues at all.

Tried these on my work desk first and ended up keeping them in the lounge. Setup took no more than a few minutes. The bass has proper weight to it—films and music feel fuller. Easily adjusted the levels depending on whether I was listening to podcasts or playing background music. They don’t distort when turned up, which has been rare in my experience with smaller units. The wooden casing actually looks good next to my desk setup. Bluetooth pairing worked right off without any messing about. Been using them almost daily without touching the controls after initial setup. Solid pick for anyone after clear sound with no faffing.

These look great out the box, and they are sufficiently loud for music or watching vids with crisp sound even at high volume. They do look neat and they’re very easy to connect with either a wired or wireless Bluetooth option. I use them with a Mac Mini and they plugged right in via USB-C. The build quality feels good with the volume and sound control knobs on the side and the on/off switch feeling premium. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is because every time you turn them on, there is an annoying voice announcing what mode they're in. Other than that, I can highly recommend them.

My speakers had a slight scratch on the side which nearly led me to return them. Very disappointing. Sound quality isn't bad but what is really annoying is the Bluetooth connection notification. Sounds just cheap.Luckily though my alexa saved me from returning these as I was able to link her up to use these permanently. This means easy connection to the speakers if using Spotify and avoiding the horrible "Bluetooth on voice" each time.
