    I got this blue food-colouring from Sugarflair to make my nephew's space theme cupcakes.But before using it I wanted to test it out on a quick sponge cake with buttercream icing. (See pics)I always use gel based food-colouring as i find them easier to use and they don't make the icing liquidity.I have to say this gel food colouring was perfect.It's concentrated so a little really does go a long way. So use with caution. Start small and work your way up to the colour you need.I didn't need to use a lot of the blue gel to get the colour I needed. I was really happy at just how quick It turned my buttercream to the shade I wanted. I'm looking forward to testing it out on royal icing next!Another great thing was there was no food-colouring taste you get with some colouring.Due to the fact the food-colouring is concentrated it will last quiet a long time making it great value for money!I can't wait to get more colours, especially a red as making red velvet is a big family favourite and I need a gel colouring i dont need loads of.Sugarflair is such a reputable brand, one I've used before and will definitely use again.
