It has a fresh satsuma like scent that reminds me of the botanical herbs in a gin and tonic. It's made of plant based oils and you only need a small amount on a cloth to treat your leather. I've tried it on a leather bag and shoes with good results. The leather items I have were never cleaned with any specific product and they looked a bit dry, the cream worked wonders in nourishing the leather. I appreciate that it's chemicals free too.Overall I'm very pleased with this cream. I would recommend it.

This leather cream smells lovely. It was easy to apply, and it rubbed in well. You only need a small amount, as a little bit goes a long way. It made my leather boots look like new again. It gave them a beautiful shine.

Hibino's universal leather cream is an all in one product that has a wonderful smell upon application.This is described as a premium Japanese product which can be used on all leather products, at least in our experience, and it works really well regardless of the colour or tone of the leather.Due to the yuzu and hinoki aroma, which is citrus and fragrant, we're more inclined to apply this leather cream onto our close essentials or on our daily use leather items such as our hand bags, wallets and perhaps even the car steering wheel and seats as the smell is really nice.We'd clean leather first before applying this cream and have found this to have the best results. Recommended if you have any leather products and would like to protect or restore them.

As a collector of militaria and other antiques I am faced with the challenge of preserving and conserving items with often conflicting requirements; sword blades hate finger oils and moisture, wood scabbard liners like wax but hate oil, leather grips and scabbards love and need hide food - lacquerware sake bowls need moisture and to be drunk from, leather and vellum bound books love being handled or, if not, nourished with a leather food. It's a 24/7 job.If you want your leather to remain supple and strong you need to feed it, and this lovely cream does just that. No, I wouldn't use it on my antiques; the simpler, the better, and perfume has no place there. But on your Italian leather handbag, for example...This absorbs as well as my museum curatorial grade hide food, and smells nice, too. You can apply generously if you want - just make sure to wipe off excess - but equally you don't need much. It absorbs well and leaves the leather supple and nourished.Recommended.

I used this cream on an old pair of knee high leather boots and found it really pleasant to use - a light, gently scented cream that contains natural ingredients (listed on the bottom). It was easy to rub in and when buffed with a soft, clean cloth really made my boots look smart again, nourished and polished. It provides protection as well and will help make them last longer.I didn’t need to use much so the pot should last a while. It’s a lovely product, much nicer than the sprays and waxes that I’ve used in the past.

With cracks and wear in my car seat on the side bolster I thought to get this.Used a clean cloth and rubbed the cream in, it certainly smells nice.I left it on without rubbing in for a short while 30 minutes or so. Then rubbed in, amazingly it soaked in completely used a second load and this also worked in well, softened the leather that was quite dry didn't remove the cracks but I think over time with regular applications it will become much better.Highly recommend.

I was surprised when I took the lid off, it looked like a face cream in terms of consistency and color. It smells incredible, but the strength of the scent may be a problem for some.I have a leather jacket that's starting to look a bit worn, and I tested this on a small patch to make sure there would be no adverse effects. Once I buffed it, it looked great, and a few days later, there were no stains or marks on the leather.The amount you get is perfect for anyone who wants to clean and revitalize a leather item occasionally, but I can't imagine it would last long if you have a lot of leather you need to restore. That being said, I feel like the MSRP of 15.99 (at time of review) is reasonable for a high quality leather cream like this.

Excellent leather conditioner but a little pricey

I just wish the container was larger. It's 80ml, which really isn't much. I used it sparingly on a large leather sofa and used nearly half of it. It smells fantastic and leaves a supple finish so I really can't complain. I expect to do this once or twice a year to keep the leather in shape (the sofa is over 25 years old and is holding up really well). I would order this again, especially if there was a coupon. If you have smaller items like a bag or belts, etc. it would last a good long while. It's definitely a quality conditioner.
