They've done it again, the Sony's are once again the king of over ear headphones. These are what the XM5's should've been... and then some✅Excellent sound quality✅They fold✅Excellent ANC✅Excellent Transparency✅Smart listening modes that aren’t gimmicks✅Magnetic case✅Seamless transitioning between devicesThese really are phenomenal sounding. The sound is very balanced, coming from the DT 770 Pros, they feel similar, but with more bass (of course not wired-level quality, but as close as you’ll get with Bluetooth).The ANC is really good. It’s the first pair I’ve tried that actually blocks out voices. And with the transparency mode, you can hear everything around you clearly, which I love for wearing them out and about.The magnetic case is honestly genius. I’m not sure how no one thought of it sooner, it’s seamless and easy to use, and still stays shut without falling apart at the slightest pull. I'm sure this will become the new default for newer headphones.The app has become actually useable, and the new features such as the cinema and background listening modes really do change how they sound. The cinema mode gives it a more spacy feeling in the ear cups, it doesn't feel like the music is blasting in your ears, but more so that they're coming from speakers, and the background mode sounds like how music sounds when you go clothes shopping, its there and you don't really notice it, but when its not there you realise how much of a difference it makes.And these really do have seamless switching, I use these with my iPhone and my PC and they switch instantly, I have a pair of AirPods pro and they don't even switch between my iPhone and MacBook as seamless as these switch. It really is like magic.Cat approved.

These are my very first pair of Bluetooth headphones and I am mighty impressed.I read lots of reviews of other brands to compare but I thought I would trust brand loyalty.I bought these to listen to music via my iPhone 15 ProMax whilst out traveling or walking. I am an old customer of Sony wired headphones, going way back to to the Sony Walkman days of the early 1980s and have always enjoyed that particular sound. I still own a good functioning pair of the MDR-V7 which I use for monitoring recording and I do like easy driving efficiency of all my past wired models.These new XM6 phones have not failed to impress!I like the way you do not have to have them turned uploud to get enjoyment from music, I am 71 but still amstill blessed with good sharp hearing.Nice all round frequency response, good bass and good clarity in the upper frequencies. I have purchased separately, an iFi Go Link Max DAC Dongle to listen at home to hi res albums on my iPhone via the optional wire connection which shows these phones to even better advantage.I DO.. like the indiscreet look and size of these comfortable phones, they do not shout out “Steal Me!”to potential felonsThey are a very relaxing listen and easy to fall asleep to when lying down as I found out earlier!All in all, an excellent purchase, well done Sony!

Wow! I have been using my XM3s for about six years now and they have been brilliant. Having read the reviews for the XM6s I decided to jump in straight away. I have not been disappointed as they out-perform my old phones in nearly every way. Most importantly the sound is a massive upgrade with deeper bass, clearer mids and a better high end. In addition, they work better on video calls with a much clearer quality to them (I hadn’t rally noticed that the old ones were bad). They are also more comfortable and while they do have a stronger clamp this, for me, is not uncomfortable… it fact they feel far more secure and fit my quite big head very well. I have had these on a few long train journeys and the noise cancelling is absolutely exceptional as well.All in all these are now the best headphones that I have owned taking comfort, practicality, features and sound into account.

I got this to replace my WH-1000XM4.Pros: Much better sound quality than WH-1000XM4 (cleaner sound, good bass and better overall)The ambient sound/transparency mode is much better.I got the silver ones and they're easily the best looking headphones around right now.Cons: They're a bit on the pricier side.They fit fine but can sometimes slide off

Der Klang ist erstklassig. ausgewogen, detailreich und richtig immersiv. Die aktive Geräuschunterdrückung ist beeindruckend und blendet Umgebungsgeräusche effektiv aus, sodass ich komplett in meine Musik oder Anrufe eintauchen kann. Es gibt ein EQ! (zusatz:) Ich habe das ANC mit meinem Airpods Pro 2 verglichen, ich würde sagen die XM6er sind besser (unfairer vergleich, da sie over-ear sind)Besonders gefällt mir, dass das faltbare Design zurück ist. Dadurch sind die Kopfhörer viel leichter zu transportieren, vor allem mit dem neuen magnetischen Case. Auch der Tragekomfort ist super. ich kann sie stundenlang tragen, ohne dass sie stören. Aber! Nicht sporttauglich! Kein Schutz vor Schwitz oder Staub.Die Sprachqualität bei Anrufen hat sich nicht geändert (verglichen mit XM5er).Insgesamt hat die XM6 meine Erwartungen übertroffen: beim Sound, Noise Cancelling, Komfort oder den Zusatzfunktionen. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die auf der Suche nach einem hochwertigen Hörerlebnis sind.

Salto de Calidad mejorando lo inmejorable

Una de las razones por las que comprar los XM6 ha sido que han vuelto a ser plegables, vengo de unos XM4 y no hice la transición a los XM5 por este motivo. Este nuevo modelo se siente mas confortable, especialmente en la parte superior que apoya la cabeza, también me da la sensación de ser mas envolvente, no pensaba que pudiera ser así puesto que los XM4 ya eran super cómodos, tengo la sensación de que al apoyarse mas en las orejas respecto al XM4 hace menos daño en la parte superior de la cabeza, algo que se agradece cuando llevas varias horas con ellos. La bisagra que pliega los cascos tiene una robustez mayor, ahora es de metal al contrario que su modelo anterior.Respecto a los XM4 la cancelación de ruido a mejorado, quizás sea por el nuevo procesador (QN3) pero escucho menos ruidos del exterior, Pero donde mas he notado la diferencia es en la calidad del audio en las llamadas, el micrófono se escucha mucho mejor gracias al aumento de micrófonos.Por otro lado la calidad de Sonido me parece que tiene un sonido mas nítido y detallado, especialmente en frecuencias altas, los bajos me parecen que están mas controlados y con mayor definición que los XM4, siempre mejorando lo excelente.Por ultimo, otra cosa que me ha encantado es que ahora si se pueden cargar los auriculares mientras se usan, cosa que antes no se podia, ya no tienes que interrumpir tus sesiones de musica mientras trabajas y los cargas.Puntos a favor:Diseño Plegable con Bisagra Metálica: Recuperan la portabilidad del XM4 y añaden una durabilidad superior a la del XM5.Cancelación de Ruido Superior: Más eficaz y adaptable que en los XM4, y ligeramente mejorada respecto a los XM5.Calidad de Llamadas Excepcional: Un avance muy significativo, especialmente frente a los XM4. Tu voz se escucha clara en cualquier entorno.Sonido Refinado: Más detalle y equilibrio, manteniendo la pegada de los bajos.Mayor Comodidad: Mejor ajuste para un uso prolongado.Carga y Escucha Simultánea: Una mejora de conveniencia importante.Puntos en contra:Mejoras Sutiles desde los XM5 (salvo diseño y llamadas): Si ya tienes los XM5, el salto no es tan dramático como de los XM4 a los XM6 en la mayoría de los aspectos.

Sony WH-1000XM6 : le roi du silence, ou presque

J’ai récemment acheté le Sony WH-1000XM6, et je dois dire que je suis bluffé. Ce casque frôle la perfection à bien des égards.🔇 Réduction de bruit active exceptionnelleC’est clairement l’un de ses plus gros points forts. Dès qu’on l’enfile, le monde extérieur disparaît, même sans musique. Que ce soit dans les transports, au bureau ou à la maison, il isole parfaitement.🎧 Confort et légèretéLe casque est très léger et agréable à porter, même pendant plusieurs heures. On oublie presque qu’on le porte. La qualité des matériaux est au rendez-vous, et tout semble bien pensé jusque dans les moindres détails.📱 Application intuitiveL'application Sound Connect est claire, facile à prendre en main, et permet de personnaliser pas mal de choses (égaliseur, réduction de bruit adaptative, etc.). L'interface est fluide.📞 Petit bémol : retour audio pendant les appelsLe seul point négatif pour moi : il n’y a pas de retour audio de sa propre voix pendant un appel, ce qui peut être déstabilisant, surtout en mode réduction de bruit. On se retrouve à parler sans vraiment s'entendre, à moins de désactiver la réduction de bruit, ce que je trouve dommage. Peut-être qu’un réglage ou une future mise à jour corrigera cela, je l’espère.♻️ Emballage et accessoiresMention spéciale pour la pochette de rangement : robuste, pratique et élégante. Et bonus : l’emballage est fabriqué en plastique recyclé, ce qui est un excellent point pour l’environnement.✅ En résumé :Un casque haut de gamme qui tient ses promesses, avec un son de grande qualité, un confort au top, et une réduction de bruit bluffante. S’il y avait un retour de voix pendant les appels, ce serait un sans-faute.

Qualita' notevole

Come possessore dei modelli precedenti Sony WH-1000XM4 e Sony WH-1000XM5 posso fornire un feedback oggettivo sul nuovo modello appena acquistato. Da alcune recensioni leggo, con non molta sorpresa purtroppo, che si parla di assenza di differenza.In sintesi dal punto di vista della cancellazione del rumore c'e' un significativo miglioramento per cui viene eliminata la sensazione di camera audiometrica (un cambio importante).Dal punto di vista della qualita' audio si ignora probabilmente la differenza sostanziale puo' fare la qualita' della sorgente sonora (audio compresso) il tipo di equalizzazione e la connessione (via cavo con un DAC vs compressione bluetooth). Ad esempio provata con connessione via cavo 3.5" stereo, sorgente audio Tidal loss less via MacMini di ultima generazione e equalizzatore con applicazione boom. La differenza e' notevole. In generale non ci si puo' aspettare una differenza con una sorgente audio media qualita' via bluetooth.

Comfortable, good audio, nice voice passthrough

I upgraded from XM3 to this and it's great. Overall great comfort, great audio quality, voice passthrough is great which makes it easier to hear myself speaking, and the Bluetooth LE Audio (LC3) support is much appreciated. Latency is very low, making it ideal for PC gaming (using an Bluetooth 5.4 ASUS adapter). Switching devices from the Sound Connect app on my phone is also seamless. Only nitpick is how the Noise Canceling differs from XM3 in the way it works. Instead of being a constant NC, XM6 uses "active" NC, meaning it may pick up sound that I rarely heard while wearing my XM3. It's a matter of getting used to, but I wish there was an option to retrieve the older XM3 NC behavior. For this alone I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5 rating.
