This toilet cleaning gadget is fairly simple and lightweight. The self-adhesive mounting system works well and helps keep it nearby and off the floor, though the attachment is quite stiff, and I would want to occasionally remove it for washing, so it is possible the effort needed to wiggle it off its hook could weaken the adhesive, but at the price, that's probably not a deal-breaker.There's a button on the handle that extends an internal rod, exposing a hook onto which you attach one of the small sponge pads - my set coming with 8 each lemon & lavender and 16 ocean scented pads. When dry, none are strongly scented. I hoped they might release more scent when wet, but they don't. The ocean ones are more scented than the others. While I'd like a stronger scent, this is less crucial to me than their ability to achieve a good, hands-free clean. I'm happy to say, this is where this product does deliver.I found that wetting the sponge under a tap initially, so I could first clean the seat, then working my way down the loo meant I could clean the places we have to touch with a completely clean sponge, and then address the less pleasant areas. The loo water developed some foam from the impregnated sponge and it did great job of removing dirt and stains above and below the water line really quickly and easily. The sponge is small enough to provide plenty of fine control and reach crevices and moulds to curved areas of the toilet & seat with a flat face with which you can apply some pressure and friction - a toilet brush can't achieve all of this, and I would never use a brush on the toilet seat, as it's in regular contact with the bowl.I allowed the flush water to run over the sponge before disposing of it, giving it a little scrub against the bowl under the water stream, in order to give it a rinse before dropping it in the bin. The release process involves just pressing the button on the handle again and the sponge drops off the end. The handle can then be stowed in the holder on the wall.There is no obvious link to replacement sponge heads on the main listing page, and it would be nice to be able to get more of just those (or just replacement handle and sponges), but you do get 32 sponges with this set for £12.99, so perhaps it's just designed to be used 32 times and then the whole system replaced.If you clean the loo once a week, as is average/recommended, then it's going to last about 8 months and it's costing around 41p per week. Probably a bit more expensive than using bottled solution, cloth/sponge and loo brush but still pretty cheap and, for me, worth it for not having to get my hands into the toilet bowl.Overall, I'm happy with it and will buy more (or replacement sponges if available) when these run out.
