Wild Nutrition Food-Grown Zinc Plus makes a strong first impression. The packaging is clean and understated, with a quality amber glass bottle and simple, informative labelling. It suggests a brand focused on trust and substance rather than marketing gimmicks. The design is consistent across the Wild Nutrition range, which makes it easy to recognise again either on a shelf or when browsing online.What sets this zinc supplement apart is the method of production. Rather than using common synthetic forms like zinc citrate or zinc sulfate, Wild Nutrition uses its Food-Grown process, in which nutrients are cultured within Lactobacillus bulgaricus. This is a more complex and costly process, but one that results in a supplement which looks and feels better made. From the refined packaging to the small, smooth capsules, the difference is tangible.I experienced no side effects, although I am not usually sensitive to supplements. I had already been taking zinc and B-vitamins from another food-based brand, so I did not notice a marked improvement in energy or wellbeing. That said, this matched or exceeded the performance of my usual product and gave a stronger impression of consistency and care. The capsule is small, odourless, easy to swallow and contains no unnecessary fillers or flow agents.One design flaw worth noting is the size of the bottle. It contains 30 capsules for a one-month supply, but the capsules fill only about a fifth of the space. The capsules are not stuffed with fillers or binders and are suitable for vegetarians. They are small, easy to swallow and do not need to be taken with a meal. If you have problems swallowing capsules, the great thing is that these can be pulled apart and the contents mixed with yoghurt, cooled porridge, fruit puree or a smoothie.They come in a dark glass bottle which is designed to be kept and refilled. If not then it can simply be recycled. I like the combination of the zinc which is good for hair, skin and nails and the added B vitamins work on balancing hormones.I love this supplement as all the ingredients come from a food source. I feel that this helps the body absorb them more easily, so you don't require such high doses. They also come from sustainably farmed sources. Seems like a quality product as far as I can tell.

Wild Nutrition is a British brand I’ve come to really trust, and this zinc supplement is another example of why. The packaging is beautifully done, a dark glass jar that’s reusable or recyclable, and the whole product feels considered and high quality. It’s more expensive than others, but for me, that’s justified by the attention to detail and sustainable ethos.As with most supplements, it’s hard to know how much of a difference it’s making, but I feel confident taking it regularly. The capsule is small and easy to swallow, and I like that it’s food-grown, with no fillers or artificial extras. The added B vitamins are a bonus too.If you’re looking for something that feels clean, responsibly made and well formulated, this is a great option.

I’ve not come across this producer of food grown supplements before but they seem to produce a wide range that are very professionally produced and packaged that gives me confidence in them.Zinc is a supplement that my wife takes, the body can’t produce it on its own and so it needs to come from food or supplementation.These capsules seem as good a source as any and have the added benefit of including (B1) and Riboflavin (B2) along with B6 in the same daily dose.They are a compact size capsule which doesn’t make them hard to swallow. We have some in our daily regime that are like house bricks by comparison.They have no after taste or smell. The bottle is glass not plastic so that has the double benefit of being easily recyclable and doesn’t risk tainting the taste of the capsules.The packaging and labels are almost minimalist, easy to read and with all the important, and relevant, information and ingredients prominently displayed.There is a 30 day supply in the bottle and, while not cheap, they are good quality and can be taken with confidence.
