There are sufficient ports for my needs, certainly when compared and added to the existing connectivity, having the SSD storage capability is really handy and the storage access and transfer times are really fast. It provides all the functionality you need on a daily basis in a tidy, well-designed package.

Firstly the price, for an externally connected NVMe drive and mini hub you would expect to pay this sort of cash but the legacy connections put me off a bit. I think the £109.99 is a little on the pricey side without an ethernet connection)One of the reasons people get these hubs to to increase the port could and not lose something they have, I would have liked to have seen a couple of extra USB C ports on the front of the unit for newer devices that might be permanent that you dont want to plug into the Mini M4, also a RJ45 connection would be very useful indeed, but you just have a couple of USB A ports on the front with some LED"s and a single USB A port on the back, which is ideal for a wired mouse or keyboard etc.Its dead easy to install using a single Thunderbolt 4/5 cable(a small cable is included) plug it into the hub and Mini and thats it.The best thing for me is the inclusion of the NVMe slot in the unit, simply remove the cover, insert the NVMe and locate it, then replace the cover and you are good to go, you will get lightening speeds.The unit is very well made, and offers fairly reasonable connectivity.One key feature is that your mini is raised off the table/desk and you can easily get to the power button in the corner!!A nice well put together hub,

Il design interamente in alluminio si sposa perfettamente con l'estetica del Mac Mini, sembrando quasi un'estensione naturale del dispositivo.La funzionalità principale, l'alloggiamento SSD M.2 NVMe PCIe da 40 Gbps, è un game-changer. Ho inserito un SSD e la velocità di trasferimento dati è stata incredibile, ideale per i miei progetti di video editing e per l'archiviazione di file di grandi dimensioni. Le tre porte USB 2.0 sono perfette per periferiche come mouse e tastiera, liberando le porte posteriori del Mac. L'aggiunta dell'audio da 3,5 mm è comoda per le cuffie. Il tutto è alimentato da un host USB4, garantendo massime prestazioni. È una soluzione elegante ed efficiente per espandere le capacità del Mac Mini.
Pratique, rapide et esthétique
Hub parfait pour mon Mini mac M4, il me permet d'utiliser facilement mon SSD Samsung de 2 To que j'ai branché dans le hub pour exporter mes vidéos. Les taux de transferts en USB4 sont excellents et on peut utiliser toute la capacité et la rapidité du Mac Mini grâce à ce hub.Le designe est élégant et il coïncide parfaitement avec le design Apple donc esthétiquement on s'y retrouve aussi.
Buena ampliacion con algunos detalles mejorables
Lo más me ha gustado de salida es lo fácil que es la instalación: simplemente colocas el Mac encima del hub, conectas el cable USB4 a uno de los puertos Thunderbolt, y listo. El diseño es tan acertado que parece una extensión natural del Mac, como si fuera parte original del equipo.La bahía para SSD ha sido una auténtica salvación. He instalado un NVMe de 2TB que ya tenía por casa (el proceso lleva menos de 5 minutos) y ahora tengo todos mis datos accesibles a velocidades increíbles desde el propio Mac. Las transferencias son tan rápidas que a veces olvido que estoy trabajando desde un disco externo y no desde el interno. Eso si, cuidado, porque se puede llegar a calentar. Mi recomendación es siempre ir a un disco de calidad, y mantener un flujo adecuado de ventilación y si puedes cambiar las almohadillas termicas de disipacion pues mejor, porque las incluidas están bien pero se las ve un poco genéricas.Los puertos USB frontales también son muy útiles para conectar mi teclado y ratón, liberando los puertos traseros del Mac para dispositivos que necesitan más ancho de banda como discos duros o interfaces de audio. El único pequeño inconveniente que he encontrado es que los puertos USB son solo 2.0, lo que limita la velocidad de transferencia con pendrives u otros dispositivos.

Ich habe diesen Akkyajaure USB4 Hub für einen neuen Mac Mini M4 Pro geholt und er ist wirklich eine sehr gute Ergänzung. Ein Highlight hiervon ist das integrierte M.2 NVMe Gehäuse, das mit bis zu 40 Gbit/s meine externe SSD voll ausreizt ideal für große Datenmengen oder Videoschnitt direkt vom Laufwerk.Die Installation der SSD war einfach und der Hub passt optisch und von der Form her exakt unter den Mac Mini, als wäre er von Apple selbst. Die drei USB 2.0 Ports an der Vorderseite sind praktisch für Tastatur, Maus oder einen Dongle, also für alles was keine hohe Geschwindigkeit benötigt. Auch der 3,5mm Audioanschluss ist eine willkommene Möglichkeit der Audio Ausgabe.Insgesamt eine sehr hochwertige und absolut funktionale Dockingstation, die den Mac Mini sinnvoll erweitert und für einen aufgeräumten Schreibtisch sorgt.
Hochwertiges Dock mit praktischen Funktionen, aber langsamen USB-Ports
Optisch passt das Dock perfekt zum Mac Mini und wirkt insgesamt sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Die Möglichkeit, eine NVMe-SSD direkt einzubauen, ist super praktisch und liefert auch tatsächlich starke Übertragungsraten. Auch die Positionierung als Ständer ist durchdacht und sorgt für einen aufgeräumten Arbeitsplatz. Was ich allerdings schade finde: Für den aufgerufenen Preis hätte ich mir auf der Vorderseite modernere USB-Anschlüsse gewünscht. USB 2.0 ist heutzutage einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß, besonders bei einem so leistungsstarken Produkt. Zwar reicht es für Maus, Tastatur oder einfache Geräte, aber wer mehr erwartet, wird hier etwas enttäuscht. Davon abgesehen funktioniert alles problemlos, die Installation ist einfach und die SSD wird sofort erkannt. Insgesamt ein nützliches Zubehör für Mac Mini Nutzer - mit Abzügen bei den Anschlüssen.
