This was relatively easy to fit ,the hardest part was wiring the rear camera as you need to wire it from front to the back so you may need to remove some of the interior fixings to hide the cable. The audio quality is really good and it works well with my wife's subwoofer, the controls are easy to use and the satnav is good. The screen is bright and clear and the touch function is responsive. This unit will only fit in a car that will take a double din radio so bear that in mind. Overall for a budget car radio its well worth it

On opening the box this looks like a serious bit of car kit. It comes with all connections, camera, installation manual etc The 9” screen is a generous size, so it will be easy to navigate the touch screen.I will be taking this to an auto electrician to fit into my car, as I know they will do a better job than I can of Installing it!As I’ve yet to have it fitted then my 4* review reflects this, but I’m confident it will be a much used piece of in-car entertainment and navigation system, and I look forward to being in the driving seat very soon!

If your car’s stuck in the pre-smartphone era, this is a great way to modernise things without a full stereo replacement. Setup was quicker than expected – plug into the cigarette socket, attach the rear cam (if you want it), and you’re away.Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto both work well – stable connection, clear screen, and decent touch response. Audio routes through your car speakers via FM or aux, and while it’s not perfect, it’s good enough for music and sat nav.The backup camera is a handy bonus, though it’s not as sharp as built-in systems.Screen is bright, even in daylight. The interface can feel a bit clunky, but once you’re set up, it’s mostly seamless.A great piece of kit for adding modern functionality without ripping out your dash!

Ordered this as a gift for a friend's son's first car. It took quite a while to arrive, but is as described. There's quite a rats nest of wiring to contend with to connect into the vehicle's wiring loom and it's a bit of an intimidating job for a youngster so he's going to take it in to a professional for fitting.Having used other Haudio CarPlay systems in the past, I am confident that setup and connection will be as easy as pie.Will update in due course when he's got it fitted.

Installation:The installation instructions for the Haudio 9" Portable Carplay Screen and the rear view camera are only one page. They are so generic that they could apply to any radio installation. There is nothing specific to cover using the included metal brackets to mount the radio or how to connect the different wiring harnesses. I had expected the Instruction Manual to provide better installation details than those shown on the product page, but it actually has less. Much less. Basically the purchaser is on their own to figure out how to install this Carplay screen.The included USB interface cables look to be designed to hang in the air since there is no mounting bracket or even holes to mount one. And while the GPS connection is shown on the back interface diagram, there is no guidance on where or how to install the GPS antenna module.The installation will require additional parts such as a wiring harness for your particular vehicle. If you own a GM like I do, you will also need an antenna adapter. The wires in the provided harnesses are very small gauge and the metal strands do not twist together or take up solder well. There aren't even any wiring schematics for the included wiring harnesses. There are only tabs with abbreviated labels on the individual wires. And be careful not to insert the black harness clips into the radio too early, because they are extremely difficult to remove.For older GMC owners like myself, the Carplay radio requires both the yellow B+ (constant power) and the red ACC (switched power) connections. Since my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD truck did not have an ACC wire going to the stock radio, I had to find a switched power source from the A/C control console below the radio. This was Pin B5 (brown) for those with a similar issue.I could not find any mounting kits for the Haudio brand, so I used the included metal brackets to attach the Carplay screen directly to the trim. The mounting holes are very close to the rear of the screen so I had to modify the depth of the trim to use the brackets and added some epoxy to keep things from shifting. This was definitely not any easy install.Operation:After the installation was finally complete and the trim back in place, the Carplay screen worked amazingly well. The video graphics are high definition and have beautiful color, although the screen does have significant glare at certain angles. The radio pulls in dozens of stations that I could never receive before with my stock radio. I really like how the artist and song titles are displayed for many of the FM stations. And the sound, even with my old stock speakers, is so much better than before.I am a Carplay newbie and the manual doesn't go into any details on how to connect Carplay to my iPhone, so I had to research the internet for that. My primary goal was to get a working radio in my truck, but I was also able to get the GPS working after connecting my iPhone via both Bluetooth and a USB cable. I still have more to learn, but for now I am very pleased with this Haudio Carplay screen.
