I recently tried this ink set in my Epson ET‑8550, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Right out of the bottle, the refill process was surprisingly clean and user-friendly—the packaging and nozzle system make it hard to spill or overfill. Once installed, the printer recognized it immediately and resumed printing without any fuss.The color output is vivid and accurate. My glossy photos and graphic prints look bright and detailed, with smooth gradients and no banding. I especially noticed deep blacks and crisp text on documents—exactly what I needed for photo-quality prints. I’ve been using dye-based Claria ET Premium inks, and this set matches Epson’s factory performance, producing excellent results on both matte and glossy media .Another standout is the cost savings: this full set cost me significantly less than buying individual bottles from Epson. For high-volume users like me, that adds up quickly without sacrificing print quality.

New Go-To Epson ET8550 printer ink refill

I refilled my printer with about 1/8 of the Epson brand ink remaining and wanted to make sure I used what was left prior to leaving a review.My notes on the product are as follows:-Ease of use/application mirrors that of original Epson ink refills; Had you covered the bottles and not told me which was which, I would not have known the difference. They attach to each color cartridge perfectly.-I primarily print photos, my Epson printer specifically is capable of doing large prints, beyond the standard 8x11 - I photograph 61mp RAW photos and color accuracy is incredibly important which made me nervous to try these (I print my own wall art) - I was pleasantly surprised that I could not differentiate color quality from the original Epson ink-Observation on color density or ink density is that it appears these may actually last a bit longer than the original Espon ink refills. I'm not sure if it's just in my head or not, but it doesn't appear to be, meaning the ink must be more dense/require less to print the same images.-No impact on printer functionality-Resolution/print quality remained stellar-Can't beat the pricePending some catastrophe after prolonged use, this is my new go-to ink for refilling my Epson ET 8550.TL;DR - Mirrors Epson brand ink in application/refilling, has identical color accuracy, identical resolution/print quality, and is superior in value for money - also appears to be more dense and potentially will outlast Epson ink

Less expensive ink for Epson Ecotank...

Having an ET-8500 Ecotank printer, I saw this 552 Fill Kit and had to try it out. Here's what I like:- Overall, I saw no difference in color and accuracy after printing some pictures back-to-back.- These refill bottles are 100ml instead of the brand E 70ml bottle, and the kit is still around 22% less expensive (with 30% more product).- The procedure for filling the tanks is exactly the same as the regular bottles - once a tank is full, it stops filling. The nozzles are keyed for each color so mixing inks by accident is very hard to do.- Following my fill-up, I ran a nozzle clean, and both vertical and horizontal alignments. No problems were observed, any changes required were minor for the alignments.- As noted above, I printed a few test prints before filling my reservoirs. I then reprinted the same pictures to see if the colors came out the same - I couldn't see any differences. The blacks take a couple minutes to completely dry, just like the regular ink.- 10 sheets of 4x6 glossy photo paper are also included.- Textual printing looks normal with no issues.Some comments...- I did get a couple drops of spillage from a couple of the bottles after filling a tank. I don't know if I inadvertently squeezed the bottle during removal or if this might be an issue. It didn't make a mess - I just closed the tank lid and moved on...- You might notice a couple shade differences in the side-by-side pictures attached to my review. Unfortunately, while taking the picture, I cast a shadow making the lighting different...- The final test for this ink would be its staying power (resistance to fade). I couldn't really comment on that due to time constraints. I'll keep an eye on that and if anything negative shows up, I'll update my review.- My reservoirs were at around 25% when I filled them with this ink. I'm assuming they mixed well during the fill process.While I'm wary of really cheap ink, I can recommend this kit. Again, if anything crops up, I'll quickly update my review.
