I gotthis for my 10-year-old nephew to keep him busy during the summer holidays, and he absolutely loved the challenge. It's a great STEM toy that really makes them think and follow instructions carefully, keeping him happily occupied for hours.Once the first model was complete, the remote control and app functions worked really well, and he had a brilliant time driving it around the house. The rechargeable battery pack for the motor is a huge plus, much better than constantly searching for AAA batteries.The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is to manage expectations for other parents: you can only build one of the five models at a time. To build the bulldozer, for example, you have to completely take the robot apart first. My nephew was a little disappointed initially as he thought he'd get five separate models from the box. It's not a fault with the product itself, but it's definitely something worth knowing beforehand.It’s a fantastic gift that combines construction with the fun of a remote-controlled toy. As long as you know you're building and rebuilding one model at a time, it's a great value set.

This is every kid's dream - and for parents it's a much better alternative to a normal RC car that doesn't require any building. This looks and feels like a proper brand (lego) - and the fact that this can be made into 5 different RC vehicles is frankly amazing.It can make a digger, crane, tractor, bulldoze and a a robot and moves quite fast given the size. The instructions are comprehensive and the booklet would not look out of place in the technical section of a library. My kids are keeping themselves building the robot at the moment and then will move onto the other vehicles.The controller is easy to use and the vehicles move very quick - not you can't "drift" them but they are speedy and work across all surfaces well as they use tracks rather than just the wheels. There is a rechargeable lithium ion battery for the vehicle but the controller takes 2AA batteries (not supplied but I will let them off). I have not tried using the app yet (it doesn't go to the android app store but a different website with a direct download for an apk).This will teach kids how to build things and control them better than lego and an remote control vehicle in one amazing toy. Not just for kids but for adults! Well done to manufacturer to make something with a high-quality feel. Right now at the time of review this has dropped in price to under £40 with a voucher which I think is a bargain.

From looking at the description of the product, you may think this is from a major brand. It isn't, but don't let that put you off.What you have here is a great construction toy which feels like a cross between, Lego, Technics and Meccano.The various engineering machines are all possible from the one set (one at a time) and instructions for each are laid out in an easy to follow format in a massive 240 page book (layout similar style to one of the big brands).Central to each vehicle is a pre-built motor which is rechargeable - this will power the driving wheels and is controllable by the supplied easy to use remote. There is also an option to download an app to control and program it but the QR code takes you to a website rather than the Google or Apple store, so I passed on that.Quality of all of the parts are great, plastic doesn't feel cheap and everything connects easily and stays securely connected.Once built (you can just do your own simple vehicle if you don't want to follow the instructions), you have a really cool remote control toy.Size once built was surprisingly big but the biggest surprise was the speed and ruggedness of the toy. I had expected this to plod along like a real construction vehicle but this took goes really fast. With the tracks on it will travel over any carpet, rug or lino floor and works well outdoors. Control is very responsive.A toy like this should be educational whilst being fun and easy to build, provide a decent remote control vehicle at the end, be adaptable and have a good quality to it. This covers all that and compared to big brands provides excellent value.

I spent an afternoon assembling each model and never felt bored. Switching between remote and app control felt natural and rewarding. The pieces clicked into place with reassuring firmness and held up well even on uneven garden paving. Watching the crane lift small objects and sending the bulldozer along programmed routes gave me genuine satisfaction. When I switched to gyroscope mode, steering felt precise and responsive. My teens joined in to see who could master the obstacle course fastest, and we stayed engaged far longer than I expected. It’s rare for a kit to deliver both a satisfying build and reliable performance that appeals across age groups.
