5.0 out of 5 stars Good compact home treadmill
I picked this CITYSPORTS treadmill mainly for its compact design and incline feature, and it’s actually better than expected for the price. It came fully assembled in the box, so setup was basically just rolling it out and plugging it in. Very easy.It has a 4 percent manual incline you can pop up when you want more of a challenge. Not steep, but enough to feel it after a while. I like that it folds flat when not in use and even fits under the bed, which is handy in a small flat. The wheels make it easy to move around too.The motor is pretty quiet for home use and handles walking, jogging, and light running well. The belt is wide enough for me to run comfortably, and the shock absorption does make it easier on the knees. The 12 km/h top speed is decent if you’re not sprinting, and the included remote works well for quick speed changes. The LED display is basic but shows the essentials clearly. There’s no fancy screen or built-in workouts, so it’s quite a no-frills setup. Also, the incline has to be adjusted manually before starting, which might be a bit annoying for some. All in, it’s a great buy if you want a foldable treadmill with decent features and a compact footprint. It’s especially good if you want something quiet and easy to use at home or in an office. Good value for casual daily exercise.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for home use
This treadmill is like having a mini-gym at home without the hassle and space demands of a full set-up. With a speed range up to 12 km/h and a manual 4% incline, it's a versatile piece of kit. The incline feels as though you're climbing that hill from last summer, albeit less sweaty and more convenient. The five-layer anti-slip belt and built-in shock absorbers offer a comfortable experience for knees that might be slightly aching from last weekend's football match. It's impressively quiet too, thanks to a 1400W motor and cooling system, so neighbours won't complain while you burn those calories. The fact that it folds effortlessly and doesn't need assembly makes it brilliantly user-friendly. It fits snugly under the bed or sofa, a blessing for those of us living in smaller spaces. It's not all roses, the LED display is minimalistic, which could leave some wanting more data at a glance. Yet, for £199.99, the treadmill strikes a decent balance between functionality and economy. Perfect if you're after something reliable that doesn't dominate your living room.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for home workouts!!!
I’ve been really happy with the CITYSPORTS 2-in-1 Folding Treadmill. It’s quiet, easy to use, and folds flat so I can slide it under the sofa when I’m done. The LED display is clear and shows all the essentials like speed, time, and distance. The remote is super convenient for adjusting speed while moving. It also has a sturdy handrail, which gives extra support and makes it feel more stable during runs. The manual incline adds a nice challenge when I want a tougher workout. Setup was quick, and the build quality feels solid. If you’re short on space but want to stay active at home, this is a great choice!
4.0 out of 5 stars Unbranded
This is actually an unbranded walking pad. It works and was delivered extremely quickly. It does what it says but I'm having trouble getting the belt to the correct tightness. (yes probably just user error). It is quiet and easy enough to move around.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great treadmill and even rehab
I got this treadmill mainly for myself to stay active and destress after work since I work from home a lot. It’s helped me sneak in more movement during the day and I’ve even started walking while reading emails. Also, our dog had an accident recently and we’ve been helping him recover at home. The slow starting speed and gentle incline have been ideal for helping him relearn to walk safely. The belt has great grip and the shock absorption is easy on both my knees and his healing legs. It’s quiet enough not to scare him and folds away neatly which matters in our small space. It’s actaully been great value for money and gets used by me, my wife and even the dog.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice home fitness solution
The CITYSPORTS Treadmill with Incline is a nifty bit of kit for anyone stuck indoors but wanting to keep fit, especially when the typical Scottish drizzle keeps you locked inside. This treadmill doubles as an under-desk option, making it a versatile choice for both home and office use. With a 4% manual incline, simulating a bit of hill walking, it boosts calorie burn, making those biscuits less guilt-inducing.Boasting a spacious running area, it features an anti-slip and shock-absorption design. My knees are grateful for the cushioning, though the running belt can be a bit challenging for those taller than my 5'1" self. As space is a premium here , its folding, lightweight structure and wheels make it easy to stash away. The powerful 1400W motor is genuinely quiet, a pleasant surprise that keeps household noise to a minimum. With the ease of not needing any assembly, added to its budget-friendly price of £199.99, it's hard not to be chuffed. Of course, while it's great for a jog, hardcore athletes might need something more robust. That said, for those of us enjoying a brisk trot, it's a decent companion.
1.0 out of 5 stars Quiet and easy to set except the handle
This treadmill is a great choice for home or office use. Setup is quick and hassle-free—just unfold and go. It runs quietly, making it perfect for shared spaces or working while walking. The 2-in-1 design lets you switch between walking and running (up to 12KM/H), and the foldable frame saves space. The LED display and included remote make it super convenient to track your progress and control speed. A solid, compact treadmill for daily fitness. On the other hand it’s a little bit heavy plus the handle can’t be set straight.
Compact Treadmill Makes It Easy to Hit Daily Step Goals
I was looking for a small folding treadmill to keep in the family room in front of the TV so I could walk more and consistently reach at least 8,000 steps a day. I got this Folding Treadmill for its portability and the ability to store it out of sight when not in use. It’s been a convenient way to stay active indoors, no matter the weather.Pros- Folds flat and is easy to move or store under a bed or sofa- Quiet operation, ideal for use while watching TV or not disturbing others- Simple setup and straightforward controls, including a remote and clear LED display- Sturdy build for walking and light jogging, with good shock absorption- Can be used with handrails up or down, suitable for under-desk walking or regular use- Handy phone/tablet holder for entertainment during workouts- Lightweight enough for most people to move, with wheels for easier transportCons- Running belt is short and narrow, which may not suit taller users or those with a long stride- No incline adjustment for more challenging workouts- Not ideal for high-speed running; best for walking or light jogging- Power cord is short, may require an extension cord- A bit heavy for frequent lifting, though wheels help
A pretty great walking treadmill for our living room
After using this walking treadmill for over a month, I’m now completely sold on the idea that everyone should have something like this in their living room. Here are some things I have noted so far on this product:• First off, this treadmill only requires a few steps to set up, which takes around 10 minutes to complete and then you’re all set.• I love the addition of the holding bar, this is something that was missing on my previous walking pad and I feel much more confident and safe having something to hold onto as I walk just in case of an accidental misstep on my end.• The bar also has a metal panel layered with rubber at the front, which can hold a tablet or phone, so you never run out of entertainment while getting your steps in.• If you wish to work right at your desk, you can simply bring the bar back down and slide the treadmill under your desk, which is made even easier with the two little wheels at the rear end of it.• It is a bit heavy to move accross rooms, but considering the size of this thing, I expected it to be a lot heavier than that to be honest, so it’s not all that bad.• When the bar is down, this treadmill has a low enough profile to fit underneath a bed, desk or any bottomless piece of furniture, given it has the proper length.• I personally got this walking treadmill for our living room because, while I love lounging on the couch, it is also pretty motivating to get some low intensity exercise in while watching a movie, tv show, YouTube video, etc.• As far as exercising goes, this treadmill can reach a surprisingly fast speed, up to 7.8 mph (or 12.6km/hr), which is a pretty fast running speed considering my older treadmill could only reach 4.5mph. I will likely not use this treadmill to run all that much, but it is great to have that as an option.• Like other treadmills of its kind, this one also displays time, calories burned and distance travelled, which is always good if you have specific goals related to those metrics for each of your walking/running sessions• Ideally, you should use this treadmill with a pair of running shoes, but I found if you walk slow enough, socks work just fine too. This treadmill’s belt is very textured and not slippery in the least, but of course always go for what feels safest to you personally.• Lastly, I really like the addition of the safety clip, which is just a little red clip connected to a magnet under the holding bar and that you can attach on your clothes, so if you fall off the treadmill by accident, it will automatically shut off the belt. This is yet another great safety feature that was missing on my other walking pad and I really appreciate having it on here. With all that said, I am very happy with my new walking treadmill and I would highly recommend this product if, like me, you have been wanting to make your remote desk work and entetainment consumption habits healthier by simply moving more in general. :)
Excellent treadmill
I ordered the CITYSPORTS Folding Treadmill, Foldable Treadmill, Treadmills for Home, 2 in 1 Folding Portable Treadmill for Home Office (Blue & Black) from CITYSPORTS, and I couldn't be more pleased with my order. The treadmill arrived well-packaged, and the setup process was incredibly simple and straightforward. It came with a small bottle of oil, which is used to lubricate the rollers and the underside of the walking surface. It also includes all the tools you may need to adjust the tread belt or for maintenance. This thoughtful inclusion made the initial setup smooth and hassle-free, ensuring that the treadmill operates efficiently from the get-go.One of the standout features of this treadmill is its compact and foldable design. Measuring just a few inches when folded, it is small enough to fit under most beds and even some sofas, which makes it perfect for those living in smaller spaces or for those who need to store it out of sight when not in use. Despite its compact size, the treadmill boasts a robust build quality and a sleek design that looks great in any setting, be it a home gym, living room, or office. When it comes to performance, the CITYSPORTS Folding T treadmill truly excels. It operates quietly, allowing me to use it without disturbing others in the house, which is a big plus, especially when working out early in the morning or late at night. The treadmill features a powerful motor that ensures a smooth and consistent walking experience. The speed can be easily adjusted to suit different workout intensities, making it suitable for both beginners and more advanced users. The treadmill's walking surface is comfortable and provides good traction, reducing the risk of slipping. Additionally, the treadmill is equipped with safety features, including an emergency stop button, which adds an extra layer of security during workouts. The LED display is clear and easy to read, showing essential workout metrics such as time, speed, distance, and calories burned, helping me stay on track with my fitness goals. The 2 in 1 functionality of the treadmill is another impressive feature. It can be used as a regular treadmill with the handrails up or as an under-desk walking treadmill with the handrails folded down. This versatility makes it ideal for those who want to stay active while working from home, allowing me to walk and work simultaneously, which has been a game-changer for my productivity and overall health.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the CITYSPORTS Folding Treadmill. It combines functionality, convenience, and a sleek design into one compact package. Whether you're looking for a space-saving fitness solution for your home or office, this treadmill is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for an efficient and versatile treadmill.
No more feeling guilty watching TV
In the past, I've used a treadmill when working at a lift desk. The first time around, I found that I lacked a certain amount of coordination. My biggest problem was typing when taking steps. I've managed to get past that awkward stage. While I've developed the coordination and am ok at a walking pace I decided to up the game and see how I fair at a slight run. The current walking pad does not have the capability to go any faster than a brisk walking speed. This unit allows me to up to a nice slow running speed. When working at a higher speed, typing is out again, but I have no issues with reading or using monitors. That said, I'm not giving up on building my coordination so I can type while jogging... Watching TV while at a slow jog is no problem either, and a good way to stay fit while not doing anything productive. The treadmill makes only the slightest bit of noise, and never to the point where I have to crank up the audio.I'm 6'1" tall and find that I can easily stride along at a slow jog; the deck is long enough to allow for it. I find the deck to be very solid, and don't worry about anything breaking. This is something I have experienced previously.Unboxing took only a few minutes, and once it was plugged in, it was ready to go. The manual is easy to follow, but in general, a quick once-over is all that's needed to operate the machine. The manual does, however, provide important information about oiling the machine.► The treadmill comes with a small tube of oil, allen wrench, and the manual explains how to oil and adjust the rollers when needed. It's not that difficult. You don't have to be a mechanic.Unlike the previous version I have used, the fold-up section allows for manual control of the device, plus there is a small LED readout. Folded down, the remote offers the ability to start, stop, speed up, and slow down the speed. It's also capable of holding a tablet.👀 Emergency power off. I don't know that it's required at the speed that this treadmill can produce but it's still a very good idea. The fail-safe connection cuts out the motor if it gets pulled off of the pop-up handle connection.🚩 Worth noting if someone hasn't used one of these previously. Don't use it on a carpet. The softness of the carpet adds bounce, plus the dust and fibre from the carpet gets into the rollers and motor. This then leads to stress, and a lack of cooling and the result is a shorter life span for the treadmill. I found this out the hard way.► It is well-built. The construction of the frame and overall mechanism is very good.► As with the other treadmills I've used, this is not a lightweight toy. It's nice to have the two casters on the motor end. They make moving it when needed so much easier.► Worth noting, like most of these walking treadmills, it cannot be raised at the motor end to produce any more incline, which increases the effort required when using it. Like walking or running up a hill.► The remote control is easy to use and increases the speed smoothly and slowly, so I find it easy to keep up with the increase.» » There is an on/off switch, but it is located on the back side of the motor section. This can be difficult to get at, so I'm not impressed by the placement.► There is a minor bounce when walking, which seems to disappear when I start to jog, or if it's there, I just don't notice it anymore. I'm nitpicking because the flex that it has is just so minor. The frame is very sturdy.► While it works well for a slow to mid-speed jog. People who want a full-speed run won't get much satisfaction out of this machine.► The displays are nice and offer basic information. I've not bothered to use the suggested app; I don't want one more thing on my phone which won't get used.♦ One thing I would like to see is a longer power cord. Considering how big this thing is it's not going to always be possible to have it located close enough to an AC outlet. After using it for almost three weeks, I can say that I am well pleased with its performance and how well it is made and designed. I am comparing this to other treadmills in its class (speed, feature set, price and easy of storing), except without the pop-up handle, and when doing so, this moves to the top.
I'm pleasantly surprised by this treadmill's performance.
The media could not be loaded. I enjoy using a treadmill at home, I'm able to listen to my music or watch tv and get a workout in while doing it.- Setup - 5/5 stars.* I was very impressed with the setup of this treadmill, I was going to wait for my hubby's assistance but turned out I didn't need it. Screw on the feet, attach emergency strap, and remove plastic, done! It took longer to get into the box then it did to set it up. (but it was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition, despite being on the heavy side).- Performance - 5/5 stars* This treadmill comes with more options than I expected. There's a Bluetooth speaker you can easily connect to your phone, a remote you can use, if you don't want the safety bar attached while working out, and a large LED display to show your progress. The instructions say how to pair remote, but ours was paired already.* There are Allen keys included for when you have to adjust the belt (usually it requires that after some time.)* I wasn't sure if the belt would be long enough for my strides when jogging, but I have plenty of room (I had my hubby watch 1st to make sure I wasn't near the end of the belt at any point).* It's very quiet compared to any other treadmill I've owned. The 3 warning beeps once you turn on machine is about the loudest part. (haven't found a way to turn that volume down yet).* It folds up incredibly well, taking up very little space, which is a huge plus for us. We can put it under our bed or, have it leaning against the wall in our laundry room, happy to say I don't even notice it in there.Overall, for $249.99 (at time of review) I can't say enough how impressed I am. This treadmill is very reasonably priced for the options & features it comes with. It's well worth 5 stars.I highly recommend it, (especially as the cold weather approaches, will be a huge asset on cold wet days when walking outside might not be an option).
