I was initially drawn to the retro style, sometimes that can sound and appear a tad kitsch, but this kit is the proverbial dog's doodads. Hefty weight which promises some serious bass - and seriously delivers. I bought it to enable our brain injured son to potentially rediscover his passion for damn good tunes. Then I bought one for myself. We found the 'hands-on' two button approach much easier than the remote console. Need to look in to that anon. Don't be put off, early days. Left button is on/off volume. Right button takes you to alphabetical stations - choice according to taste obviously. On/Off keeps last station in memory. (Having problems with pre-set memories. ..humm!) Conceed that this kit is way clever than me. I have taken a mini-jack lead to my main amp and seriously good sounds: obviously some compromise that only the hi-fi dudes would take issue with. Bluetooth from my MacBook Air means I can kick-up a racket watching Netflix/Prime/Youtube - even GarageBand. I have inserted a double mini-jack splitter to enable me to connect to my beloved iPods. £129.00 is no price to sniff at by anyone's situation today, but this kit is damn fine value for money. Stand alone sound quality is excellent - cooked through your good amp and it's a beast. And yes - the mini, digital monitor screen is a total bonus. Many will obviously have this on similar devices already. In fact (well maybe?) it is ZX Spectrum etc old-school reassuring.I submit this review without it being solicited or being 'Botted' or AI Frankensteined generated. John Kennedy.

I don't often bother to leave feedback, but this is an exceptional item. For a unit this size, the sound quality is remarkable (I speak as a professional musician, so I'm fussy). I am also a technophobe and was fearing it might be difficult to use the various functions, but it's really straightforward. The most scary part was unpacking it! I mostly will be using it for CDs, and, once programmed, that's where this machine intuitively stays unless you 'tell' it otherwise. It feels solid, even the CD tray doesn't seem flimsy as with many players, and overall it's just a thing of beauty. I had it in my basket for 4 weeks before I finally made the decision. Glad I did.

Absolutely love this CD/radio player. I was a bit concerned when I ordered because it was a new model and not many reviews but am so glad I decided to take a risk. It is fantastic. The unit looks really stylish, is easy to operate, and the sound is very high quality both on CD and radio - in fact, it receives a DAB signal at the back of our house where other models have failed. It's wonderful to be able to listen to and enjoy our CD collection again. I don't often write reviews but I am so happy with this unit I just have to sing its praises and can't recommend it highly enough. Just brilliant and well worth every penny.
