Enjoyable

Yes, Eli is back and still sounds just like his dad!!!Open Wide is a solid record but there are flaws notably the production which feels too samey throughout with not a huge amount of dynamic sound as heard on their first 2 offerings. In places it feels flat and that may be down to the compression needed to fit 48 mins of music on a single 12". Hopefully when played live they will really come alive.The 3 songs released from the record prior to release are a real indicator of their new sound and while good songs are not the highlights. Little Things and Eddie In The Darkness stand out for me.

The Right Direction
Inhaler fully embraced who they are with this album. They've talked before about how they went out of their way to not sound like U2, but here they quit running and just made good songs. Songs like A Question of You, Your House, X-Ray, Still Young, and All I Got is You are among the highlights. A couple of the songs feel like washed-up pop songs, (a result of working with Kid Harpoon), but even with those, this will happily take it's place among Inhaler's other works. I can't wait to see where they go next!!
