Can’t fault this case replacement. The guide on the website is amazing. I sat for 3 hours watching the video going step by step and although I’d have appreciated a written guide for a few fiddly moments I figured it out.I liked the contrast of the black buttons against the white so didn’t do all of the steps, my touchpads and trigger buttons remain the same, but even without those steps I’m still really happy. I only worried I’d break my steam deck every other step but it’s gone together well. Any issues are user error putting the parts in the new case so can’t really mark down for that.

Absolutely excellent build quality, typically 3rd party housings I’ve used are always short of the mark. Not this, pretty much the same as OEM. Lovely fit and finish.FYI, removing the display is hard, take your time, if it feels wrong, it probably is! Start in the Center not the corner! Use some isopropyl alcohol and a fine pointed syringe, once you get a small lift get some alcohol in there to help you along.

Great quality, the process for changing can be complex but the step by step guide and provided tools made it simple.The fit of parts was exactly the same as stock with no scrappy edges you sometimes find on cheaper alternatives.It feels almost standard when gripped and has a reassuringly tough feel, generally I think it looks great (better than stock) but that is subjective.

IF NOTHING ELSE, PLEASE READ 3RD PARAGRAPH FOR ASSEMBLY REVIEW!!!I recently got a steam deck, and after being in the switch missing scene for so many years, I already knew I was going to mod my deck too! I wished the pink was more pastel, or that there were more options for colors for the OLED specifically. I will be getting other pieces to mod and *deck* out my deck anyway, it was always the plan.The shell was really easy to replace and the buttons were easy as well! I didn't replace the track pad, trigger buttons, or the menu buttons, primarily because I wanted a level of contrast and to match the grips I also ordered. So I cannot tell as to how easy removing those would be, but as far as the trigger buttons, they looked easy enough to transfer!I DO wish that I had looked up the Extremerate disability video before following the iFixit instructions like others on reddit said to do. I had to buy separate thermal paste for no reason... So if you get a shell and want to replace everything _PLEASE_ go watch the makers video on YouTube for your deck (LCD or OLED) and follow them before anyone else. Do not make the mistake I did. Could have saved me a lot of time.The case closes up nicely and all the buttons work great! I didn't have any issues there. They also provided all the the adhesive and extra screws needed to put the deck back together. I *did* use the original screws with this case, but for a bit there was a screw who was abducted by a magnet so I temporarily used one of theirs and it was perfectly fine.I've shopped with Extremerate for years and this purchase was no surprise to me. They have excellent quality materials and have a great execution for their products. This is a brand I trust!

Good shell replacement kit
Very experienced with modding electronics. Not recommended for people who aren't or not willing to take the time to learn. This product worked well and took 2.5 hours to do.
Good color
Great quality for the price. If you’re into modding then I highly recommend this. Makes your steamdeck look very unique. There are some vague instructions and trial and error for which screws go where.
