Cleans floor with ease. Fits under kitchen appliances and can be used width ways and length ways. The bucket has a section for washing the flat mop with stiff plastic nodules for cleaning the mop and another section for squeezing out excess water before using on the floor. Fabulous for my kitchen tiles as regular mops are to wet for them.Use plugs at the bottom to let out the used water or simply tip out.Looking forward to the now conveniently easy cleaning of the out of reach tops of walls with the flat mop.Very versatile. Highly recommend.
4.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected
I have been using this type of mop for a long time as they are less taxing to use than a conventional mop and bucket which caused me a lot of arthritic pain in my back.. I usually buy the spray type, but I'm tired of the leaky bottles which seem inevitable with this design of mop, so decided to try this one and im glad I did. The mop itself is sturdy compared with a lot of others I've used and the bucket is of sturdy construction and because the bucket requires a lot less water, it's much lighter to move around. Unfortunately, there are no instructions, but its fairly straight forward. The bucket works better than I expected, one side holds the water and detergent and the other side remains dry.. I used the wet bucket slot to help click the mop sideways then dip in and out to wet and there's a comb on the slot to help remove hair and debris stuck to the mop. Then you can either wet the floor directly from here if more water is required, or, run it through the dry side to remove the excess water. The water is removed when upon entery to the dry side and returns to the wet side of the bucket and the wiper lifts upon removal of the mop to release it easier (if the water returned to the dry side, then, you would be drying the mop on the downward movement, then dipping it in the dirty water as you withdraw it to wash/dry your floor as the drying action only works on downward motion) this drying action works very well and the pads are very absorbent, so if you have put the wet mop directly on the floor, the water is easily and effectively removed again once you've dried the mop. I've tried it both ways as I have mixed tiled and wooden floors and it works very well on both and my tiles dried quickly on a damp day. Fitting the absorbent mop head; each end has a section that pops up and a very good velcro action along the length of the mop head, so you can velcro the middle of the pad to the mop then pop the ends up and slide the 3 fingers into the 3 pockets on both sides of the mop head and then pop the sides back down to hold the pad tightly in place. Its important that the pads are held very firmly as the drying action of the bucket really does squeeze the water out and if it weren't held tightly, you would certainly loose the mop pad in this process. Lastly, there are 4 little rubber plugs included with the bucket which requires 2 at a time. Some people have said they experienced leaking at these points. Whilst the plugs fit in the holes very securely and I haven't experienced leaking yet, as they weren't pre-fitted and sealed I'm sure it's possible it could leak at this point. However, I have to say I like the bucket so much (and the set was so reasonably priced compared to others), if I experienced leaks I would add a little silicone around the inside and outside of the plugs to resolve the leak. The holes for bucket drainage makes the emptying and rinsing of the bucket easy and fast, just remember to put the hinged side of the plugs facing up or drainage might end up messy.. I hope this review helps in your choice.
5.0 out of 5 stars Mop and bucket
Love this mop ,I've even cleaned my bathroom tiles with it ,it light weight which is great for me as I have arthritis .The mop head easily rotates and gets into corners easily ,love the wet and dry so you are able to leave the floor almost dry .Neat little taps at the bottom of the buckets to make emptying easierOnly one issue the taps they were not fitted and I needed to get my daughter to fit them for me ,takes a bit of pressure and fiddling to get the water tight taps fitted ,my only recommendation to the maker is to fit these before you send them out .I fillmine in the bath as the bucket is quite tall .I would say well worth the money and a good well designed mop and bucket.
1.0 out of 5 stars Stick to a standard mop
This product is not worth purchasing. The mop head jams in the holder when using. The mop head also doesn’t fully submerge, when you try to pull the mop head back out the cloth rips off the Velcro. It’s also very hard to rinse in the dry section. The main problem with this product is that you have to sort the mop head out continuously which isn’t good when you are trying to clean a dirty floor!
3.0 out of 5 stars Pros and cons.
Works well, but the end isn’t connected well to the pole. There is a nut and bolt which holds the end to the pole, and the nut keeps coming loose and now it’s gone missing. Had to go buy another nut and tighten it very tight. Hopefully it’ll stay on.I’m still using my first pad, although one end has ripped after a couple of weeks. Maybe the threading isn’t good enough. Would be nice if the pole could extend a bit more as I had a bit of a sore back when I needed to mop a larger area.Great at mopping and using the bucket to drain excess water. But it doesn’t leave wooden flooring completely dry, still get a wet surface after mopping.Edit: pole snapped by the threading after a few months, was very difficult to remove broken piece from the threading. Now that 1 piece of the pole is broken and thrown away, I managed to connect the top and bottom pieces together, but it’s now even shorter but at least I can still kind of use it..
5.0 out of 5 stars Mop and bucket
Amazing mop would recommend
2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty crap, looks like nice idea, hard to use in practice
Doesn’t work very well, the buckets are hard to empty without making a mess, the ‘scraper’ doesn’t work very well and you get a thick sludge of muck and grit that’s almost impossible to remove before the next use. Maybe there’s some trick to getting this combo to work well but it isn’t obvious.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Superb! Cleans so well and dries the floor.
