Charged within about an hour. I guess the proof will come if I ever need to use it but judging by others reviews it will work extremely well. The build materials are of good quality, the handbook is very easy to understand And in plain English.

I have not had to use this for my car, (thankfully!), however it worked beautifully on my riding lawn mower. I plugged it in when I first got it, and left it on the charger overnight. I then unplugged it and took it out to my car so I would have it in case of emergency. It stayed in my car for a few weeks when my niece asked for it to use on the lawn mower. When I took it out, it still had a full charge. After she used it, it still had about a half a charge! Would definitely recommend to keep in your car for emergencies or to give to a loved one to keep in theirs!
