This is a great little kitchen scale. They look smart and good quality, and a great shape and size for storing away with ease.There's a digital display that gives out the readings, and also 2 weighing areas. One standard, larger metal area, and then a much smaller section.I find using it very easy, I had it set up and using it without needing to refer to the instructions. It seems accurate enough to me, however I was using a mechnical scale previously!

Overall this is a decent item, with the combination of two scales being particularly useful. It works well, though there is some room for improvement.The buttons are tactile, and covered with a self adhesive plastic overlay that should prevent contamination of the buttons. Aside from the backlight, the two scales function independently, with individual on/off buttons. The backlight is on if either scale is turned on. If both scales are turned on, both need to be turned off individually; there is no way to turn off with a single press.The display for the accurate scale is closest to the scale surface, with the display for the larger scale below. While it may seem logical, this arrangement limits the size of container that can be used before the display is obscured. If the displays were reversed, the small scale could accommodate a larger container.Holding the units button for a few seconds activates a calibration mode, with the counting feature control button allowing cycling between which weight will be used. The main scale can be calibrated using either 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 4kg or 5kg. The precision scale calibrates with 50g, 100g, 300g, 400g or 500g. This feature is not documented, and no weight is included.The counting feature worked well and reliably.The scale gave consistent readings with an item placed in the center and around the edges and was largely accurate, however a reading was not 100% reproducible. For example, an item weighing 45.0g might weigh as 45.03g or 44.98g after removing it, powering off/on and measuring again. Left idle, the scale might also fluctuate slightly. These discrepancies are negligible overall though.While there's some room for improvement, overall the scale is decent, and having two combined is definitely handy.

The feet grip a (clean) worktop surface and prevent the scales from moving around too much.There are two weighing platforms with their own readings and controls. The smaller platform has a removable clear plastic cover to protect it when not in use.When compared to items weighed on my usual electronic scales, the weight of each item was about the same, give or take a gramme. An item weighed on the large platform showed the same weight as that that weighed on the small platform.As with many electronic kitchen scales, the precision is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate, so these scales may not be suitable if you want to accurately weigh items to the exact gramme, but are certainly OK for most things and no better or worse than other electronic kitchen scales that I've used.Compared to some scales, these scales look as if they may be more easily damaged if dropped.It is important that electronic scales are used on an even, flat surface to get the best results.The supplied manual is in clear English and easy to follow.

kitchen space is seriously at a premium! They look so stylish, and honestly, they take up practically no room to store.They've got a really nice feel to them. And they've got this clever sticky plastic cover on top, which should stop them from getting all mucky. Apart from the light, the two scales work completely on their own, each with its own on and off button. The backlight comes on if either scale is switched on. But if you've got both on, you have to turn them off separately – there's no single button to switch them both off at once.Right now, they're selling for £24 is a really good price for something so accurate. Honestly, there's absolutely nothing to dislike about them – definitely 5 stars from us!

These are good kitchen scales.They are as precise as any other electric scales I've had. Yes they fluctuate a tiny bit, but most of these types of scales do and it's only point something of a gram. Nothing that's going to ruin a recipe.I like the small precision scale, it's easy to measure herbs and spices, as little amount as 0.01g.The two scales have individual displays that can be turned on or off as needed and a choice of unit measurements.Comes with 3 AAA batteries.

It's sleek and classy-looking, small enough to fit in any drawer (but nice enough to not need to hide), its dual-zones operate completely independently with their own on/off as well as tare and quantity calculation, and the batteries last a long time (haven't had to replace them yet with near-daily use).First thing I did when I got it was compare it to another scale I have that I know is accurate down to the milligram level and this one was only different by a few percentage points. Even more impressive is that this scale was repeatable every single time. That means that when you weigh something, it will weigh that same amount each and every time.It really is amazing. Both the precision and heavy sides can support quite a lot of weight, and the scale is accurate all the way up to its max and all the way down to the bottom. If you want to test its sensitivity, try exhaling softly near it, and it will tell you the weight of your breath in grams.It's quite simple to use, too. Simply turn on the side you want (precision or heavy), let it zero out, and start putting things on top. If you need to subtract out a mixing bowl or something like that, put the empty bowl on top, hit the tare button (zero the scale), and then add your ingredients. Easy-peasy.It is worth mentioning that being battery-powered, it will turn itself off after a minute of inactivity (unchanging weight) to save battery. This means that if you have something on the scale and you're weighing multiple steps, it could turn itself off in between you adding ingredients. It's not the worst thing since you can just turn it back on, but still.Overall, I'm more than pleased with this scale. It's accurate, repeatable, does everything I could need it to do, and looks good enough for me to leave it out on the counter full-time. Highly recommended.

Une balance plutôt jolie (je trouve), avec un faible encombrement ( 19,5 cm sur 13,5 cm pour 2,5 cm de haut ), et qui peut peser jusqu'à 5 Kg pour le grand plateau et 500 gr pour le petit. Elle fonctionne avec 3 piles AAA, qui sont d'ailleurs fournies ( tout comme un mode d'emploi, en anglais).La balance est facile à utiliser : on appuie pour l'allumer, on appuie au besoin une seconde fois pour la tare, et c'est bon ( pour l'éteindre, soit on appuie à nouveau sur le bouton, soit on ne fait rien et la balance s'éteindra d'elle même au bout de 3 minutes ).Elle est dotée d'un écran rétroéclairé et très lisible (les chiffres font 1 cm de haut).La balance utilise le système métrique par défaut ( donc un affichage en grammes ), mais on peut aussi choisir le système anglo-saxon (en oz), si on le souhaite .Elle possède deux plateaux pour la pesée, le grand plateau mesure 12,5 cm sur 13,5 cm et le petit 5,8 cm sur 6,8 cm.À noter que ces deux plateaux sont utilisables simultanément ( l'écran affiche alors en haut le poids pesé par le petit plateau, et en bas celui pesé par le grand plateau).Les deux plateaux donnent des mesures précises et correctes (j'ai utilisé des poids d'étalonnage pour le vérifier)Au final, j'en suis très satisfait parce qu'elle correspond à mes attentes et que je ne vois aucun défaut à lui reprocher, donc je la recommande.

Cette balance de cuisine correspond tout à fait à mes attentes: elle est petite, peu encombrante, facile à utiliser et d'une lecture claire. La balance permet de doser parfaitement les ingrédients pour la pâtisserie. C'est un indispensable dans ma cuisine. Ce modèle me convient très bien, d'autant que le petit plateau permet de peser des petites quantités d'aliments en vrac.

High Quality, Well Made and Accurate Kitchen Scale

I have been using a basic electronic kitchen scale for a several years. Suddenly, the display on my old scale failed and I ordered this one as a replacement. I am pleased to report that after several months of use, I have thoroughly enjoyed using this scale. I particularly like the dual scale feature and the fact that both scale platforms can be used simultaneously. This scale is very helpful in my portion sizing efforts and I like being able to easily switch between metric and English units. The tare feature is also very handy. I can highly recommend this scale. As a bonus, I have made use of this scale for mailing parcels and I have been pleased to find that I had accurately fixed the postage when checked by my local post office.  5 stars!

Handy kitchen & crafting scale

This scale requires 3 AAA batteries, which are included. It works well, I measured both the precision and heavy side against various objects of known weight and against our old kitchen scale and everything seemed accurate enough for cooking and crafting purposes (our kitchen scales do double duty for measuring yarn).Everything works easily mostly using the “precision” and “heavy” buttons for on/off and taring. You can also measure pieces, though I haven’t found a cooking use for that function. (It would be great for beaders!)My one complaint is the readout. You really need to be right over it to read it clearly, any sort of angle and it becomes hard to read. Being fairly short this can be a struggle, especially using it at my desk for crafting. It’s a fairly common problem with these little scales.
