I've caught several plaice and small bass with these, especially when paired with a rag worm scent spray. The trick is not to leave them in the water for hours without respraying.I would say it is much (much!) better than freeze dried rag, though not as good as fresh. But I'm too old to go digging for worms anymore.

The worms are quite realistic looking. Certainly when float fished in moving water or slowly retrieved along the sea bed, they will lure fish. If float fishing a full worm will be effective for pollack and wrasse. For bream, half a worm on a smaller hook would be more appropriate. For flatfish you can use them with a flounder spoon or beads. The worms are soft and flexible which makes it easy to attach to a hook. It also allows the worms to "swim" when retrieved through the water.When first used the coating on the worms works as an attractant. This will need refreshing either from bottled oils or contact with natural baits. The worms can work well as a cocktail with a natural bait when fished statically. With an oily fish, you have the advantage that a scented bait remains even when crabs or smaller fish have savaged the natural bait.I don't know how long the worms remain "fresh" in an unopened packet, but a pack of these worms in your tackle box, could prove useful should you run out of natural bait.I hope you found this review useful.If you have a question, I always try to respond when Bolo forwards them to me.

The set of 12 silicone ragworms comes in sealed package as there is oil which carries the scent and 'flavour' of the real ragworms. That could last probably for couple of uses if the worm survived the first fishing. These worms are real-like, so the fishes will surely get attracted by them. I'm unable to try this at the moment but hopefully I get an opportunity in the spring time, the earliest. I'm glad to have these worms just in case we ran out of the life worms when fishing.The price is okay.
