5.0 out of 5 stars Great Intro to Multi-Effects Pedals
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } The media could not be loaded. This is a great little device. While designed and built as a guitar pedal, it's not something you would add to an existing pedalboard. Regular guitar pedals are powered by 9V supplies. This has a rechargeable battery powered by USB C. This seems to be a bit of an odd choice. I think it's more aimed at bedroom guitarists or new guitarists who are looking at getting into using effects. For that it's absolutely perfect.A single Boss guitar pedal might cost anywhere between £80-200. This costs £90 (at the time of writing) and you can have your choice of amp, cabinet, delay, reverb, modulation effect etc. You can also change the order of the effects (which can make a huge difference to the sound, and can be a lot of fun to play around with) and you can load in your own IRs (Impulse Response).I wasn't overly thrilled with the sound of any of the presets that the pedal has ready to go, but having experience with a different multi-effects pedal, I was able to quickly build my own preset from scratch that I was very pleased with. To hear how that sounded, and a few other sounds from the pedal and my opinions about it, please check out my video. The only real downside for me is that the tuner isn't good. I tuned my guitar using a tuner from my DAW and checked it with a tuner on my phone. Both agreed with each other, but the tuned on this pedal didn't. I already trust the other two tuners, so I'm wary of this one. It doesn't seem accurate.

The headphone socket was faulty , only gave output to Left Hand side , sent back for refund .Rest of unit was ok .
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Little Device - Perfect for New Guitarists (And Some Experienced)
This really is an amazing little device. It's really straightforward to use, even for a novice, but with functionality which means that it could be useful even for experienced guitarists & bassists.I'll start with my biggest annoyance with it - it's powered / charged by USB type C - if you have other pedals, you'll have a 9v pedal power supply, and it would have been great to be able to power it from that, even if you recharge via USB. Ok, the rest is good :).I started playing guitar in 1996 or 1997, and very quickly got my first multi-effects pedal, a Zoom 505. This is a similar size, but blows it out the water in every way.Size-wise, this is a neat little device (funnily enough, a similar size to my old 505) - wider than a regular pedal, but not as big as two Boss pedals side by side.Even if you only use it as a delay / reverb pedal, it's worth its price.Even if you only use it to load custom IRs, it's worth its price.Even if you only use it for its built in amp models, it's worth its price. It's flexible enough to be pretty powerful, but also easy enough to use that you hopefully won't disappear down a rabbit hole tweaking.Power it on, and you use the two foot switches to jump between the pre-programmed pre-sets (or use the Para knob on the right, to select the slot number, click it in, then scroll through the list of presets). They're of varying quality - I found the heavier ones didn't sound great "out of the box", some of them for silly reasons, like not having the noise gate enabled, but you can tweak the settings easily and make it more to your taste. To edit a preset, you just turn the knob on the right, which moves between the different effects, then press it in, which then opens the menu to adjust the parameters for that effect - e.g. choosing which drive pedal, how much gain etc. If you want to enable or disable an effect, or element in the signal chain, just press the button for that one, it's that easy.Incredibly at this price point you can also change the order of the signal chain (e.g. having the reverb going before the delay, rather than the default of delay before reverb), just select the effect with the Para knob, click it in, and it will go red, then move it to the position you want, and click again.Lastly, once you're happy with a preset if you've tweaked it, or made a new one, long press the button (on the right), and then spin it to choose which slot you want to save it in.You can also download the M-Vave PC software which lets you edit the presets and load custom Impulse responses (if you're a beginner, don't worry about the impulse responses), and you can even connect to it via Bluetooth and edit it from your phone, using the app or to play music to jam along to - long press the home button to turn bluetooth on, so you can connect to it.Lastly, press both footswitches at the same time to go into the tuner, which makes use of the bright colourful screen. This really is an amazing device, and would be amazing for new guitarists (or bassists - there are 5 bass amps and cabinets for bass).
He’ll yeaaaah get it !

The media could not be loaded.
It's really good overall, but with a big curve
The M-VAVE ANN Black Pedal Box is a surprisingly versatile and compact multi-effects unit that delivers impressive tones right out of the box. For most guitar styles—rock, blues, jazz, and even ambient effects—it offers rich, dynamic sounds that are ready to go without much tweaking. The onboard effects are solid, making it a great choice for players looking for an all-in-one solution without sacrificing quality. However, if you're aiming for heavy metal tones, it falls a bit short. Even with additional IRs, dialing in the aggressive, high-gain sound needed for true metal can be a challenge. While the unit is highly customizable, getting the IRs set up properly can be a little confusing at first, requiring extra effort to optimize the tone. That said, the versatility of the ANN Black Pedal Box makes it an excellent tool for most styles. If you’re willing to take the time to fine-tune your settings (huge curve here), it’s a great option for guitarists who want a compact, powerful effects processor with quality sounds and flexible functionality!
