Selectable by degree. The kettle has an option to hold at temperature for up to 1 hour. 1 hour is excessive, but the ability to hold means that the pour, wait, pour ... process for Kalita or V60 or whatever your preferred method is always done with water at the temperature you chose.There are options for Celsius or Fahrenheit scales and to 'hold' at a temperature or not. The kettle is fairly quiet at the start and in the hold phase of reaching temperature. At the midpoint on its approach to 95℃ the noise level increases to an acceptable level in a kitchen.Controls are simple but not necessarily intuitive for folks used to pressing the button and waiting for a kettle to boil.The kettle fills by removing the lid, pouring water in, and then replacing the lid. Capacity is 0.9L max.Obviously an extravagant choice even for coffee geeks this kettle has become a solid and consistent piece of kitchen equipment for me.The kettle is not well suited for making tea due to its gentle and controlled flow through the gooseneck spout. Fellow make a similarly shaped kettle for tea and more general use (Corvo). The Corvo shares the same control, fill, and performance characteristics differing only in the spout design.

It’s a good kettle. It won’t change your life, make you more attractive or secure you a place in heaven, but it’s a good kettle. If, like me, you want something to boil water, then this does indeed boil water.

The media could not be loaded. So there’s a lot of things to say about this kettle. I don’t have time to go through all the plus’s- this is a legit kettle, you should own something of this calibre and quality if you want to make serious drip coffee.The one flaw I found is in the design itself. The lid itself is not sealed for water. It’s not a big deal, but when making a pour over, you will find a slight trickle coming out from the lid and down the body of the kettle. It’s very hard to avoid due to the angle you will end up pouring to get the velocity you need.Not a major flaw. But it seems to me something that could have been remedied with testing, so it’s very strange for a product of this price and aesthetic quality having such a simple design error.I’d still buy it, but… I’m a bit dissatisfied with the design as a result. This is a very basic consideration that could have been remedied with a slightly different angled cast, or additional drip prevention screen.Make of this review what you will. It’s excellent at everything else. I actually love everything else about it and can’t find any other complaints.

It might be an expensive kettle, but wow, it's such a great one!There's a lot to like about it: looks great and has a minimal footprint, boils fast and holds the temperature automatically when you put the kettle back on it's base (without having to press a button every single time), can pour very slow so it gives you a good control over the water flow and seems to be very well built. I've just bought it so I can't talk about how it's going to last in time, but I hope it won't dissapoint me.And apart from all this...it comes with a built in 8-bit game for when you feel too caffeinated and need to use the extra energy hahaYes! It has a Worm which you control from the knob on it's pursue of eating as many "apples" as it can. To turn on the game remove the kettle from the base and move the temperature button from Celsius to Farenheit two times. Enjoy!July 2023 UPDATE:Although I've changed most of my coffee setup since I bought the kettle, it is still there on the counter, boiling water every day. I don't see any changes in it's functionality, performance, or aspect.

Easy to use. Looks lovely on the counter top. I am so happy about the temperature control option as I drink matcha which gets burned at boiling temperature.

The media could not be loaded. Not great…Sensor really bad.Temperature keep going wrong; making error; boiling either over the set temperature or under… had to return because of these issues.

I mostly drink cheap instant coffee from Aldi but this kettle sure looks nice on my worktop and holds enough water for a king size pot noodle so I'm happy

Then the kettle began to determine the temperature incorrectly and the water often boiled away. And today it turned off completely and no longer turns on. The design is not only beautiful, but not convenient. The rim on the handle heats up together with the kettle. The spout gets scratched and the black paint flakes off. The water takes a very long time to pour, if you need to brew a kettle with tea, your hand gets tired of holding it. Beautiful, impractical and of poor quality.
OBSESSED with this kettle!
It’s so cool how it has an app and you can calibrate it to your altitude, it puts my other kettle to shame! It’s also so beautiful in the all black and walnut handle
Beautiful and very functional- quick heating.
First, this is a beautiful piece to have on the counter; second it heats for black tea VERY quickly. At my altitude, it goes up to 207 as opposed to 212. The the poor over is just exceptional. I have a standard Breville kettle that heats to a certain temperature and I use them both, but I really love the pour over feel of this.

Excellent Kettle, Flow restricter is great, pours just right and forgiving.
Heating
It is durable and the material is very good. It heats so quickly and keeps warm for a long time.The only downside is I wish they had a larger size.
