I decided to decant this drink into a glass for tasting, and unfortunately, I think I should have left it in the can, it doesn't look overly appetising with an appearance of used dish water.I'm not a regular drinker of energy drinks but I was keen to try this one with the given claims on the product page.Ignoring the appearance I found the taste a bit insipid, thankfully it doesn't have the overpowering taste that some other energy drinks have, but I wouldn't describe it as a refreshing taste.I exercised after drinking this and although I felt alert well into the evening I didn't feel overly energised, but your mileage may vary.Overall, an energy drink made from natural ingredients without the normal strong chemical taste that some energy drinks have, actually it doesn't have much in the way of taste at all.

This product tastes pretty refreshing - it doesn't have your typical energy drink - that is, it doesn't have a B vitamin flavor. It has a nice lemony with a hint of lime and some enjoyable effervescence. This has quite a decent dose of magnesium malate which is a more absorbable version of magnesium. I imagine this drink would be quite good for recovering from a hangover. I like how the caffeine comes from green tea - I have always found that to be slow burning and it keeps me going for longer without a crash. I definitely recommend this product - one of the better energy drinks I've had.

I had never heard of the brand 'Vilgain' before and as such it should come as no surprise that this is my first ever time trying this specific 'Energy & Focus Drink' from them.I'm happy to try new things though and serendipitously Lemon & Lime just so happens to be one of my preferred soft drink flavours.The can has a ring-pull top as you would expect. It is 330ml which is a standard drinks can size like you might buy from a corner shop or supermarket, however those ones are quite stoutly shaped whereas this one is slightly thinner and taller.But hey, I'm sure you don't care so much about all that do you?! You want to know if it is nice or not, right? Well I liked it personally but as I have said - Lemon & Lime is one of my top 3 soft drink flavours so I am quite easy to please on that score. The taste was not sweet but also not too sour. I like sour myself but understand it can be off-putting for some and I wouldn't say this was sour like that. It has a lemony sharpness but on a scale of 1-10 I would probably give it a four or five for how sharp it is.I had this in my mid-morning break and in terms of the "Energy & Focus" aspect I can't say I noticed a great deal. I'm not saying it had zero effect, it may have had some, but it wasn't hugely noticeable to me one way or the other. However it is only 330ml as I have said and it may be the case that in order to feel more of those effects/benefits you may have to have more than one can.Overall I am quite happy with the drink. As I have said I like Lemon & Lime anyway and the flavour was pleasing to me which is arguably the most important thing. I am not sure I would pay the currently listed price of £1.99 again for one single can, but I am glad to have had the opportunity to try the drink. All things considered I am going to give a four star review, but if you are reading this in the future and the price has gone down to closer to £1 then you can consider it a five star review.

Accidentally drunk this in the evening (~2100), forgetting it had caffeine in it, and it kept me up into the early hours of the morning (3AM). The taste is like a watered-down Sprite (although, a little tart), and it's low sugar, but they replace it with sweeteners. It's about as good as any energy drink you can get in the supermarket I guess, but without all of the extra ingredients. The taste is not going to wow you, but it's cheap enough to try for yourself.
