The first and really only major criticism is that this is listed as being for ages 6-15. That is a huge age range and even allowing for the adjustable height on the handlebars there is no way realistically that it can cover all those ages.It is not at the extreme budget end of the scale but nonetheless there are some compromises in construction. The handlebars always had a small amount of movement in them. They fold down which is a nice feature but when connected even with the clamp tightened up there was some movement in them. There is a clip0 to hold the handlebars in place when folded but it feels quite flimsy compared to everything else so might not survive longThe suspension is a totally unnecessary gimmick that really won't help anything. It uses solid wheels which is probably why they have decided to put a suspension on there but it is more for show than function. Various points that you might reasonably expect to be metal are plastic, specifically the wheels and rear wheel cover.Four Allen keys are provided in the box but are mostly unnecessary, Everything that needed tightening out of the box could be done with thumbscrews. The only annoyance is that if you do need to tighten anything beyond that then why could they not have standardised on one, or even two, sizes of Allen bolt rather than require four different Allen keys. A minor point but one that good design would have fixed.That said it felt solid enough a quick test with 65kg suggested it's solid enough in use and the larger wheels are a good choice, (Review to be updated when my niece has her hands on it)Recommended as a decent budget scooter but the age range is probably 9-15 rather than 6-15.

Ordered this for my older 15 year old who had taken to borrowing my 11 year olds Micro scooter which is a similar size frame and same wheel size and considerably more expensive.It's easy enough to collapse and reassemble, in fact the folding mechanism is a lot easier. The release button is much easier to push that the mechanism on the micro, my 11 year old still has trouble with that but has no issue with this one.It will cater for an adult, I've used it at 6 foot and it's fine. I would suggest that a six year old would need a size down. Even on it's smallest setting I would think it's too large and unwieldy for that age. It's not just the height it's the whole size of the deck, brake operation etc. I'd say 8 to 9.It's got a standard wheel size with solid tyres. It has suspension and I found that this does make a difference over the micro scooter that doesn't. Vibrations and knock transmitted through the handlebars are noticeably damped down/reduced.Overall it's quite smooth to ride and the rear brake is a big area so easy to use and unlikely to miss it with your feet. Wheels look the same as most scooters so should be easily replaced. I've had to replace the rear wheel on our other scooter for example as they are solid tyres and you were them down especially the rear if you break a lot.Height adjustment of the handle bars is simple enough with the clamp although like some other scooter it doesn't have the locking pins at different heights. Whilst this means it's adjustable across the whole range you should make sure it's time as it doesn't have that extra protection against slipping in to the tube if left loose. This is probably the only thing I would have liked to have seen.How it holds up over time I'll report on if any issues but seems a pretty solid scooter and good value for the price.

The big advantages, as I see it, are its larger wheels and the kickstand.Small wheels stop when they hit something large – unfortunately, the child does not! Larger wheels are more likely to ride over the object, making the scooter slightly safer. To take it to an extreme (as an example), think of a scooter compared to a bike trying to mount a kerb.The kickstand is handy, and make it less of a trip hazard (which all scooters are when lying down).The variable height, from 120cm to 180 cm, gives it longevity.The dual shock absorption is an improvement but don’t expect it to be as good as a bike’s shock absorbers.A good scooter, especially due to those larger wheels.
