Great value for money for sharpening knives. If you don't want to spend a long time learning how to maintain the constant angle with a sharpening stone, but this.It's so easy to use I've let my kids have a go. Of course, sunny slice yourself since the blade faces up when in use, but it's (almost) idiot proof.Sharpness: It works. My knives are noticeably sharper. I'm not shaving my face with them just yet but having potatoes and carrots to bits is much easier now.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great and easy to use sharpener with only a couple of minor issues Positives: Very Easy to use Good quality feels sturdy and heavy Really strong magnet which holds the blade in place Gives a very sharp blade without roughening/damaging the blade edge Negatives (minor) Takes a long time to sharpen dull blades, much longer than you think, approximately 5 minutes The roller isn’t ideal if you prefer a cleaver style knife as it’s not tall enough the reach the top of the blade but this is easily combatted as I show in my video The roller has 2 different ends, one coarse and one smooth, it can be very difficult to tell which end is which as the difference is subtle, there are no identifying features on the roller to state which end is which Overall I would absolutely recommend this. It is my first roller sharpener and for the price it’s awesome and does everything I need it to

To date it has put an edge on a few knives but the larger knifes are more easy to sharpen than a small knife. The small knife slips below the top hedge of the holder so can be a faff to hold it in place. Yes its magnetic but not strong enough to hold a small knife at the top so the discs can put a edge on. Only time will tell how long it will last but to date, it has been better that a sharpener that you pull the knife through. At the price I got it for, would I buy it again, probably.

I have sharpened several knives with this. Initially I thought the sharpening was impressive but noted the magnet was weak. Now the coarse disc is worn and is as smooth as the honing disc. Therefore useless now for sharpening. Buy cheap… buy twice!I think I’ll go for the Lava brand, where the disc is a whetstone so won’t wear like this piece of rubbish.
