Solid metal replacement vent cover for a plastic bedroom vent. There's no flyscreen inside so bought some fine mesh to fit into the vent cavity before fitting it to the wall. The old vent had a wasp nest inside so this one was chosen to be functional but more robust so if that happened again, it would prevent insects entering the house, which it will now do. I also used some car sponges stuffed into the cavity to block it from any potential insect nest again, while still maintaining airflow. This worked out cheaper than buying proprietary filter material and does the job. Looks great fitted, very functional and solid.

Love them. I put the in the ceiling- replaced the old plastic ones and no longer need to cover them with tape. There are a little pricey but worth it especially when you can shut them completely
