If taken care of, they last years, even decades.The fabric is soft and plushy and the characters look great in their cushion form. Jack Skellington can look a bit creepy but this cushion is very cute.This cushion has nothing sharp, scratchy or detachable, so (according to the label) is appropriate for children aged 0+ years.The cushion can be washed. This Jack Skellington one doesn’t have a cover, so the whole pillow has to be washed if needed (it can be spot-cleaned easily enough). The label says to hand wash at 30 degrees. It can’t be tumble dried but I found that if you use a towel to “press” out most of the moisture, it will air dry really quickly, especially in front of a fan.
