Great indoor garden!
Truly love my new ahopegarden, easy to set up and the functionality are great. Built quality it's better than my previous smart indoor garden (C&G) and overall better quality for way less. I have it on my work from home desk and the pump it's extremely quiet, doesn't bother me at all. I like the capacity of the 12 variety of plants I can grow. I am currently growing cilantro, culantro. oregano. basil. chives and parsley. Very easy to clean and the growth rate it’s better than I had expected. My first plants sprouted within the first 2 weeks. Definitely recommend it!

Amazing system
This smart planter is amazing! Setup was simple, and my herbs sprouted quickly. The built-in light and water system make it low-maintenance, and my plants look healthier than ever. Highly recommend!
Not impressed by the design!
I know a thing or two about growing and I thought it might be nice to have some fresh herbs in the winter.This thing is among the worst designs I've ever seen for growing anything. It is only useful for small herbs since everything is so close together so even lettuce is out of the question. The picture shows a tomato plant which I can say with certainty without even trying that it will not even handle a dwarf tomato. The light is all wrong too, right away it's got red leds on which is typically not good for seedlings.The pump never seems to be running except when I turn it off and back on then it'll run for a few minutes but the pump is useless really and should have been designed with an air pump. ROOTS NEED AIR! but this just submerges everything completely while soaking in a piece of foam.

I previously purchased an aerogarden, which works great, but wanted a larger one for growing tomatoes, peppers and lettuce. I chose this one because it was more affordable then the larger aerogarden and because of the great reviews!I will say the instructions for setting up and caring for seeds was a bit more involved and unnecessary, in my opinion, with the ahopegarden compared to my aerogarden. I didn’t soak any seeds or the ‘soil pods’ before putting in the garden and was successful. Another thing that aerogarden does that I think is a bit easier and straightforward is they give plant food that is premixed and only one bottle and you only have to feed every 2 weeks and you have a blinking light as a reminder. I have been following that with my ahopegarden plant food just for ease of not forgetting. I also never had to use the plastic covers during the initial grow phase - although I can see why you would and did use them in my ahopegarden to test them out. With all that, I have never had an issue growing any herbs (that’s what I grow in the aerogarden). Lastly, aerogarden suggests using distilled water in the garden which is the only thing I use for the plants and might be something to consider when using this.
